"Babe, we are gonna be late!" I had been waiting for Stevie for at least 30 minutes and she was still doing em make up.
"For what? Are we not just gonna have lunch?" I didn't let her where we were going because I wanted it to be a surprise.
"Well, yes but...I made a reservation  and if we are late someone will take our table" that was a reasonable excuse right? I asked myself.
My phone vibrated on the coffee table and I ran to see who it was. It was Cammie asking me where we were.
"Who are you texting so much today?" Stevie asked when she entered the living room and saw me texting Cammie.
"No one."
"I always think it's  my phone when I hear the vibrations but it never is. I would assume my friends would text me or even call me to wish me a happy birthday." She seemed a bit upset.
"It's  still to early maybe they will call you later. Don't  worry" I gave her a big smile and pecked her lips. "Now let's go."

I didn't want her to realise  we were driving in a different direction than the restaurant so I tried to keep her mind occupied. It didn't  work for long.

"Ally, do you have the GPS on? I'm  pretty sure we are going the wrong way."
"No, we are fine don't worry. So, as I was saying, I was thinking about getting this tattoo on my leg. What do you think? I might do a little color but I'm not sure." I kept trying to talk about different stuff but it was getting hard to keep track of the road and the conversation.
"I've told you three times I like the idea. None the less it's your tattoo so if you like it than do it. I think a bit of color would look great. Greens and purples... Ally I'm 100% positive this is this wrong way." Before I had time to think of a new topic Cammie called so I picked it up although I was driving because I needed to scape Stevie's conversation.

"Who was it?"
"Cammie"
"Why would Cammie call you?"
"Hum, she...she lost your number and she wanted to ask me for it" great excuse Ally! Now she is gonna find out something is wrong.
"Why didn't  you give me the phone then?"
"She said ahe was gonna call you and then she hang up so I didn't have time".
"I don't know what is going on but you are acting very weird today".
" I think you should put this on" I handed her a blind fold.
"What? Why would I do that?!"
"Just please don't  make this even harder"
She played along but she wasn't  happy about it.

Soon we arrived to Harry Potter world and I took her of the car and guided her to the entrance where all of our friends were.
I took her blind fold off and everyone screamed HAPPY BIRTHDAY, STEVIE.
She started crying and hugging everyone  and we all got inside and started exploring. I didn't  know much about harry potter but I knew Stevie loved it so that's why I decided to take her there. Still, I had a blast! All our besties were there and we ate a lot of food and saw loads of different places.

At about 6pm we decided to go home so we all said our good byes and got in the car.
"Thank you so much for today, Ally. I hope you had fun because I sure did."
"I had a lot of fun. But the day is not over yet." She looked confused.
"What else are we doing today?"
I didn't  respond.
She didn't ask anything else.

I drove quietly in direction to the tree house and parked in the farthest point in the forest.
"The tree house" she said it like she wasn't  at all expecting it but ahe sounded happy.
I simply smiled at her and held her hand tight. We walked to the house and Stevie stopped when she saw it.
"The flowers... you. You remembered I like blue flowers."
I was happy she liked it. "There is a surprise inside" I told her.
She looked at me for a second and then walked fast to the house. I followed her.

"What is this?" Stevie had found the papers I left inside the house, her surprise.
"Those are adoption papers. You just have to sign them and we can send them and then soon we'll have a little human crying and running around our apartment."
"Are you sure this is what you want, Ally?" She looked at me with the biggest smile I had ever seen on her face.
"Yup. I know we haven't  talked a lot about it but I know how much you want kids and since I didn't marry you I thought having a human in our life to bond us would be a pretty official commitment and with the same value hopefully."
"It's even bigger and better than everything I could imagine. Thank you."
" Thank you, for being a part of my life and helping grow everyday. I love you."
"I love you" she said leaning in to kiss my lips. "Let's sign these papers and prepare for motherhood.
I laughed gently at that word. I was gonna be a mother and I never felt more ready for it.
"Let's do it" I responded.

We left the tree house and went on to a new chapter of our lives. A new and undiscovered chapter with challenges and changes that would bring us even closer.
