The flashbacks are coming back to me... He can't be dead... He just can't, he promised me he would come back! I stopped and looked at the night sky, all the memories I had with him was too much.

Hot tears were running down my face. The one that I love is gone, he's really gone... No one can fix my heart, the only person who can is....

"N-Nico..."

I remember me and Nico cuddled up next to each other and smiling, glad to have each other. Everything was amazing like a dream! But that dream came to a end when Nico said "I'm going to Texas with Percy to help find another demigod, Grover said that this demigod is very powerful so he needs help bringing him back to Camp without a lot of monsters on their tails."

I looked at him surprised "If you and Percy are going then I'm coming along too!" "Spirit, I would love that to happen but it isn't the best choice. You should know that." I sighed and nodded. It'll be way to dangerous, more and more monsters would eventually track us down because of our scents...

It was about time we should head to our cabins, we both got up and walked to my cabin. Before I could go in, Nico grabbed my wrist gently. I looked at him confused at his sudden movement, I was about to ask him what he was doing until I felt something soft on my lips.

Nico is kissing me! The sudden realization hit me in the face, blushing madly I kissed back with joy. After a couple of seconds we pulled apart from each other and smiled, it was only a few seconds but the kiss felt like centuries.

"Goodnight my beautiful water lily, I'll see you after my quest. I love you." Those were the last words he ever said.

These shallow waters never met what I needed

The flashback ended, I fell to my knees and started crying. I don't care who heard me, I can't believe that he's dead. Nico di' Angelo, Death Breath, The Ghost King, my boyfriend! He's gone! I feel so lost without him, before I met him I was just depressed daughter of Poseidon that everyone thought should go die.

I started shaking badly and it was getting hard to breathe. This happens all the time when I start crying, but it's been awhile. Nico was always there when I was sad, I never cried again until now. I screamed out Nico's name. No reply. I kept doing it over and over again but there was no reply.

The only sounds that could be heard were my cries and screams, wanting Nico back. He was the only person who saw the many sides of me, Percy only saw the happy sisterly side. He doesn't understand anything, only Nico does.

"I-I want Nico b-back!!!!

I felt someone's arms wrapped around me, I thought it was Percy so I hugged back tightly sobbing onto his shirt. Until I realized Percy doesn't smell like vanilla, only Nico does....

"N-Ni-Nico..."

I looked up and I saw him with his beautiful smile. Nico's alive! "Hey my water lily, why are you crying?" He said while wiping my tears away. "I-I thought you w-were gone..." "Water lily, it will take more than monsters to kill me. I promised you that we'll die together and I hate breaking that promise to you." He held my face in his soft hands gently, smiling. I returned his smile.

"I love you, Nico."

"I love you too, Spirit."
