"I need to talk to you," Ellie called to her dad.
He stopped walking and turned to face her, "yes."
"Are you actually going to meet with him?"
Her dad paused before nodding. Ellie took a deep breath. "Good, I'm coming with you."
"No," Rick snapped.
"Yes," Ellie replied, "yes, I am, dad."
"I s'pose you want me to let you shoot him as well then?" Her dad said.
"It would be appreciated."
"No."
"Dad, you have to let me do this," Ellie told him, "please. If you won't let me kill him at least let me come with you to meet him."
Ellie choked out the last word, she hated that thought of that animal.
Rick hesitated, Ellie watched the gears in his head churn the thought. Finally he said, "we'll discuss it when I get back."
That was another thing Ellie felt she needed to talk to him about, going to go find guns in town. Although, that wasn't the part Ellie worried about, it was the fact he was taking Carl with him.
She didn't want to push her luck so she said, "are you sure taking Carl with you is a good idea?"
"He'll be fine," he assured her. He kissed her forehead and left.
Ellie frowned as she watched her dad walk away. His gun on his hip.
She waited until her dad was driving away from the prison before she went to see Merle in his cell. When Ellie found him he was sitting on his ragged mattress sharpening the knife attached to his arm.
"Hey, hey, hey, honey," he said in his raspy voice, "come to hug, or whatever y'all do now?"
"Shut up, and listen," Ellie snapped.
"I've already seen it all anyway," he smirked.
Ellie took a deep breath and clenched her eyes shut to stop herself from punching him.
"That's kind of what I need to talk to you about," Ellie admitted, "I'm going to kill him."
"The Governor?"
"Well, I don't necessarily mean me in particular," She looked Merle dead in the eyes, "he just has to die."
He didn't respond, he just grinned at her for a while. Ellie watched him expectantly.
"Let me get this straight," he finally said, "little miss Sheriff's daughter wants to kill the Governor."
He waited again, this time as if to test her reaction, still with a stupid grin on his face.
Ellie smirked back at him and leaned forward, so they were eye to eye. "Was that unclear, Dixon?"
He chuckled, "alright I'm in."
"Good." She leaned against the metal bars.

"So, what's the plan, sweet-ass?" Merle said, focusing back on sharpening his blade, "how exactly are you gonna take down the Governor?"
"You're gonna tell me what you know about him first," Ellie stated, "I need to know who will be with him tomorrow."
"Tomorrow?" Merle looked up.
"My dad's gonna meet up with him and discuss 'peace' between us and them."
Merle smirked, "there ain't no way in hell that is going to work."
