The soft petals blew slightly in the small gust of wind. The bright yellow of the flower caught the attention of a certain blond. His eyes shown with interest as they gazed at the simple flower. The bright sky blue of his eyes reflected the image of the flower as his hand slowly reached for it. Just before his fingers rapped around the delicate stem a girls voice startled him.

"Naruto let's go!" her voice, it was annoying. He had thought he had a crush on her but had given up long ago. She was rude and mean to poor Naruto, when all he wanted to do is be there for her and she treated him like dirt.

"Okay, Sakura!" he hollered back to her, beginning to stand. His fingers tightened around the soft stem and pulled. The small snap of the stem was oddly satisfying to the blond.

He turned sharply and ran toward where Sakura's voice had come from. There she stood, her short pink hair swirling around her face, her bright emerald eyes stayed glued to a certain someone. "Oh Sasuke you're so great." she sighed out, looking at a boy their age.

He had jet black hair that stood up in the back and bangs that fell perfectly around his face. His onyx eyes seemed to not care, but they held so much emotion. Most cannot see the emotion hidden in his mysterious eyes, but Naruto can. The deep burning of hatred that filled Sasuke. The torment that clouded his light, leaving him in darkness, alone and lost. Naruto saw it all from just one look into those onyx eyes. His mysterious eyes aren't so mysterious to Naruto.

The three began to walk back to the village from the training grounds. Sakura started to talk to Sasuke as he just gazed forward. Naruto trailed behind the two watching after their backs. A comment Sakura said caught Naruto's attention. "Sasuke we should leave Naruto and go to the field of flowers to hang out!" excitement laced her word.

Naruto gritted his teeth so he wouldn't lash out at the girl with pink hair. Sasuke shook his head which surprised Sakura. A small smile grazed Naruto's lips as Sasuke denied her offer. She quietly said okay and walked a little faster. "Well I have to go my Mom needs me." she said and walked away from the two boys. "Bye Sasuke!" she hollered back right before she was out of sight.

"Thank God that's over." Sasuke breathed out under his breath. Naruto stifled his laughter after hearing Sasuke's comment. Sasuke looked back at Naruto as if questioning why he hadn't left yet.

Naruto smiled and walked up to where Sasuke had stopped walking when he had laughed. Naruto could feel the flower in his hand as he walked toward Sasuke.

They had regained walking down the narrow dirt path. The Hidden Leaf Village was coming into view as they came to the top of a hill. Naruto looked at Sasuke from the corner of his eye and butterflies erupted in his stomach. His palms begun to sweat almost dropping the flower.

Naruto mustered up all of his courage and flung his arm up in front of Sasuke's face. "What are you-" Naruto looked off to the side as his hand began to shake. The small yellow flower caught Sasuke's attention. He stared at the delegate flower shake with the owners hand. The petals swayed and fluttered in the setting of the sun.

"I-Its for you." Naruto's voice came out surprising Sasuke at the softness of it. A deep red spread across his cheeks as Sasuke stared at him then the flower then back at him.

"Thanks..." Sasuke slowly reached out to grab the flower. His hand resting on Naruto's for a second longer than normal. Naruto dropped his hand after Sasuke had the flower in his own hand.

Naruto sighed and looked down then quickly turning and giving a small kiss on Sasuke's cheek. He dashed off calling back to Sasuke, "See you tomorrow for training!" Naruto disappeared from Sasuke's view as his fingers slowly found their way to his cheek. Touching the soft skin where he could still feel Naruto's lips.

He smiled and looked at the small yellow flower that sat in his hand. He slowly began to walk back to his home dazed. Butterflies swirled around his stomach as he pushed the front door open. The skin on his cheek tingled where Naruto had once placed his lips.

"What is this feeling?" he asked out to the empty household hoping to hear an answer. But his words were the only sound in his cold and lonely home. Sasuke craved the feeling he had gotten from Naruto.

A quick shift of Sasuke's foot and he dashed off in the direction of Naruto's apartment. He dashed past Sakura, "Oh Sasuke!" she cried out in surprise as he rushed by her. Sasuke ran through the busy streets of the village dodging all the pedestrians. He skid to a stop in front of the door catching his breath.

A trembling hand knocked on the door. Sasuke inhaled a shaky breath as the lock of the door clicked and the door creaked open. His slender arms wrapped around Naruto and he buried his face into the crook of his neck.

A smile spread across Naruto's face as he hugged Sasuke back. The tapping of feet came from off in the distance and a gasp was heard. But Sasuke paid it no mind and tightened his grip on Naruto.

Naruto looked over to see Sakura who had a look of betrayal flooding her features. Naruto stuck his tongue out at the girl with pink hair, she gasped and stomped away. The two boys embraced each other in a tight grip then slowly let go.

The two went into Naruto's apartment and spent the rest of the day just hanging out in the small apartment. They stayed glued to each other and even spent the night together. They slept peacefully while Sakura paced her room trying to understand what she had seen earlier that day.
