So here's the last chapter of the story!!!

---

"Do you understand everything now, Sab?"

Tears. Overflowing tears were falling in my eyes like forever. I can't help but sob in between his broken words. My hands were tightly gripped on my shirt as I tried to calm myself down. I didn't said a word since he started explaining things to me. Rain started falling a while ago but no one dared to stepped on the porch, letting ourselves be soaking wet outside.

"I'm sorry, that's the only way I know that would shut her out." Lucas mumbled, staring blankly at the street. "But I guarantee you, nothing happened between the two of us. Everything I said earlier was true." He shifted his body to face me, his shaking hands holding my arm. He pulled me closer to him as I did nothing but stare at him.

"So I was wrong again, uh." I managed to say, leaning my head helplessly on his broad shoulder.

"Yeah. I guess." He lightly chuckled and I could feel the vibrations from his chest. "But I was wrong too, for not telling you before taking it into action." He sighed, slouching his body a little bit.

I was so occupied by the thought that he was messing with me that I forgot he told me he likes me. I never doubted him when he said that, his clear blue eyes told me everything that night at the mall. I believed in him. Maybe it's because of his sudden change that I forgot how he cares for me. I never even tried to broaden my mind why he was acting like that to Brit. I never thought he did that because of me. He wanted to get revenge for me. Everything for me. And all I did was to hate him. I was fueled with guilt.

We just sat like that in front of our house for the next remaining minutes. We were both shivering due to our drenched clothes. His hands made its way to his face, later on, I heard a sob. As I looked up at him, his hands were on his eyes, rubbing it hard so the water in his eyes would stop falling.

"Why are you crying?" I mumbled under my hard breathing.

I felt his body stiffened a bit before he answered. "Me? No. It's the rain." He might cover the tears, but not the broken voice.

"I'm sorry." I sat up, facing him. He tried to look away but I held both of his chin and gently slapped it so he would snapped up. "I'm sorry for doubting you. I-I never thought you could do that for me." My thumb brushed off the tears that just fell from his eyes. "I never thought that you're willing to look stupid in front of us - your friends, just for me." I sniffed, trying to control not to cry as well. He gave me his warm smile as he held both my hands and tightly wrapped it on my face. I felt his face suddenly heated up, and made my hands warm.

"You know I'm willing to do everything for you." He grinned. His hands left mine and I feel the sudden need of his warm touch. He placed his hands on my waist and pulled me closer. I blinked at him as he put his forehead on mine, our noses touching one another.

"If I knew that, I wouldn't doubt you." I stated. In a matter-of-fact tone.

"Yeah yeah, whatever." He rolled his eyes. As I pinched both his cheeks, he winced. "Hey, that hurts!"

"You deserve it." I glared at him. "For not telling me sooner."

He faked a gasp, putting his hands on his chest.

Suddenly, he became serious. He looked at me intently, his smile never leaving his face. "And you deserve this."

That moment, it seemed like time was frozen. The second I closed my eyes, and the next second when I opened it, I found his lips on mine. Taken by surprise, I felt him grinning. His other hand found its way to my neck, pulling my face a bit more closer to his even though there was no more space between us. Feeling weak, I closed my eyes and started copying his mouth movements. I savored and feel the burning sensation soaring right at this very time.
