Draco attended a game of croquet at Mr. Huff's mansion; a place located in a muggle neighborhood. He lived very muggle-like, this is what made him head of the department, to live like them.
"Sir, all due respect, what is the point of this game?" Draco asked, leaning on his croquet hammer, watching as Mr. Huff concentrated.
"Patience is key here, Draco."
Mr. Huff tapped his ball and made it through three rings, prompting him to grin with satisfaction. He turned to Draco then, gesturing for the blonde to take his turn. Draco had to admit, this game was quite amusing to say the least, and it really geared his mind to figure out how this game had anything to do with a job.
That's why he was there.
After two other meetings with Mr. Huff and Daphne, talking his way into the Department Head's pocket, and charming a witch, Mr. Huff had invited Draco to talk business."I hope you don't mind that I've invited The Greengrass' & Nott's."
"Sir this is your home, any friend of yours is mine." Draco shrugged casually, mirroring Mr. Huff's smile.
"Good, keep that in mind when I kick your ass, Malfoy."
Draco straightened to turn and find an old friend make his way down the stairs with his father. The Greengrass' following leisurely behind them.
Draco awaited to his old friend, a boy now man his age that he had known even before his school days. Draco smiled amused, extending his hand to the one and only, Theodore Nott. The black haired boy laughed, baring his crisp white teeth as he slung his other arm over Draco."Draco, good to see you!"
"Likewise Theo, what brings you here."
"Many things Malfoy, in due time."
Theo never ceased to grin at his old friend, taking the hammer from Draco to sling it over his shoulder carelessly. His movements were very child like and free, but Theo had always been like that. He was a man of fun trials and a free spirit; and womanizer on the side. The only thing that had changed was the length of his hair; passed his ears and tucked behind them.
"You, want to study muggles?" Draco cocked a brow at him, which prompted the black haired man to lean against the hammer and smirk.
"God no, the law."
"You, a man who constantly broke it?"
"Life works in mysterious ways."
Draco rolled his eyes before turning his attention to an approaching Mr. Huff and company. They all greeted each other, smiles and short talk before Mr. Huff resumed the game. He played against Fabian Nott and Mr. Greengrass, more carelessly than Draco and Theo then when it was their turn.
For the time being Theo had occupied himself with talking to the Greengrass sisters; Draco listening in and observing.
