Steffy & Liam's Love Story

Chapter One

Eric and Quinn have gotten married and the Forrester Family is in disarray. Steffy is furious and cannot believe that Quinn is now a permanent fixture in her grandfather's life. To make matters worse, Wyatt has decided to lend support to his mother's marriage to Eric. After a very heated and eye opening argument, Steffy finally tells Wyatt that her heart and soul will always belong to Liam. Steffy files for divorce, but finds out that the minister who married them did not file the paperwork correctly, so Steffy and Wyatt have not been married this whole time.

Steffy's Pov

Steffy walked out of her lawyer's office in a daze. " I cannot believe it. Me and Wyatt have not been married this whole time." So many different emotions were running through Steffy at the moment. Disbelief, sadness, anger, but most of all relief. As much as Steffy hated Quinn for kidnapping Liam and manipulating their lives, Steffy couldn't deny that she had grown to care for and love Wyatt. She would of never married Wyatt if she didn't. Wyatt had been a big support to Steffy after Liam had dumped her and disappeared. Liam and Steffy had been off and on for the past five years. Most of those years Steffy was constantly coming in second to Hope in Liam's life. Wyatt had put Steffy first and she had really needed that. Wyatt was fun and spontaneous and after two months of dating Wyatt proposed. Steffy's family had warned her to slow down, but she was Steffy Forrester. She knew what she was doing. Plus Liam was done with her. Liam had said as much with his text messages and voice messages. Steffy loved Liam, but he didn't want her anymore. So Wyatt and Steffy took the plunge and were married in a beautiful beach ceremony.

Unfortunately Steffy and Wyatt's relationship was all based on a lie. Liam had been on his way home to see Steffy to work things out between them. Unfortunately Liam had the bad fortune of passing out in front of Quinn after a argument. Quinn saw her opportunity and kidnapped Liam and kept him away from Steffy. Liam's disappearance, the hurtful text messages and voice mails to Steffy were all because of Quinn. Quinn's manipulations were the reason why Steffy and Wyatt had gotten together.

After Liam had recovered from his amnesia and returned home from being held captive by Quinn, everything was a mess. Steffy should of been on cloud nine enjoying life as a newlywed. Instead she had the heart breaking task of having to tell Liam (who still thought he and Steffy were engaged) that she was married to Wyatt. It killed Steffy to break Liam's heart. In the past their roles were usually reversed. It was usually Liam breaking Steffy's heart by choosing to be with Hope and more recently Ivy.

Breaking Liam's heart was the last thing Steffy wanted to do. Steffy loved Liam. To be honest, Steffy had never stopped loving Liam. Liam and Steffy had faced so many hardships in the past, but they always survived. Regardless if they couldn't always make it work as a couple, Steffy and Liam were best friends. Nothing could or would change that. That was until Quinn had entered their lives and blown everything apart.

Because of Quinn's manipulation's Steffy was put in the impossible position of being married to Wyatt, but still in love with Liam. Everyone in Steffy's life, from her family and friends had a opinion on what Steffy should do about Wyatt and Liam. Liam felt that Steffy should leave Wyatt and come back to him. Liam believed Quinn had robbed them of their future together and they deserved to have it back. Wyatt on the other hand believed that it didn't matter how he and Steffy got together. They were married and Liam needed to respect their marriage and move on.

Steffy felt horrible. She did not want to hurt Liam or Wyatt, but if Steffy was truly honest with herself, she knew deep down what she wanted to do more than anything, without hesitation.......

Steffy wanted to go back to Liam and start a life with him. Marrying Liam, having children and building a life together had been all she ever wanted for as long as she could remember. Even when Steffy moved to Paris 3 years ago after losing their baby and Liam reunited with Hope, a part of Steffy always dreamed that one day her and Liam would reunite. But that dream was over and dead now.Because Steffy had meant her vows. She was married to Wyatt. She couldn't break Wyatt's heart. So as much as it pained Steffy, she would just have to bury her love for Liam. She would move on with Wyatt and forget about reuniting with Liam. It would take time but eventually she would get over Liam....right?

Yea that was easier said than done. Liam was determined to get Steffy back. Liam took every opportunity he could get to try to convince Steffy to leave Wyatt and have their marriage annulled. The more and more Liam tried the harder it was to resist Liam's pleas. Especially every time he kissed her. Steffy sighed thinking back to the kiss she shared with Liam in Monte Carlo. It had been right after Steffy had discovered Quinn and her grandfather were having an affair. Wyatt had promised to keep his mother away from Steffy and her family, but he had failed. Wyatt always underestimated how dangerous his mom really was. That was until it was too late....and someone paid the price for Quinn and her manipulations. Usually the person paying the price was Liam. When Liam bumped into Steffy on the beach and saw how upset she was about Quinn he had been so amazing. Liam held Steffy as she broke down sobbing. Liam did everything he could to ease her fears about out Quinn. As Steffy began to pull away from Liam's embrace she looked into his eyes and in that moment, time and everything else stood still. Steffy knew before Liam even did it, that he was going to kiss her. She knew that look better than she knew her own name. Then ever so slowly Liam bent down and kissed Steffy. The kiss was brief, soft, tender and sweet. Liam and Steffy had shared more passionate kisses before in the past. But it did not matter. It had been enough. Enough to take Steffy's breath away. Enough to make Steffy long for more kisses from Liam. Kisses that were even more passionate and could lead to other things. Things that Steffy shouldn't be longer for from her ex fiance.

After they returned to Los Angeles Wyatt and Steffy's marriage slowly began to deteriorate. Steffy made the decision to move out and go stay with Thomas for awhile. She needed Quinn out of her life. Wyatt swore he would keep Quinn away, but it was useless. Everything finally came ahead the day Eric and Quinn got married. Steffy couldn't get the argument she and Wyatt had out of her mind.

FLASH BACK:

Steffy : "Wyatt I'm sorry but I just cannot do this anymore more. You promised you would keep Quinn away from me and my family. And now look. She's married to my grandfather."

Wyatt: "Steffy I know and I'm sorry, but what do you want me to do she's my mother. No one can control her. But honestly Steffy I really think she's changed. At least that's what she says... Maybe we should give her a chance"

Steffy shouting: " OH MY God Wyatt. You know how dangerous your mom is. She should be in jail. Look at what she did to Liam" She played puppet master with our lives.She doesn't think what she did to Liam and how she tricked us into getting married is wrong.. That's sick! She's is sick!!

Wyatt: "Tricked?" " Wait...... You think you were tricked into marrying me?"

Steffy: Wyatt.....I'm sorry....but yes your mother tricked us.

Wyatt: "Wow." So just so we are clear Steffy do you even love me?

Steffy: "Of course I love you Wyatt!" I would not of married you if I did not love you.

Wyatt: But???

(Steffy turns away from Wyatt crying. Not able to answer)

Wyatt: " Just say it Steffy."

( Steffy choking on tears turns around and looks Wyatt in the eyes)

Steffy: But....I'm still in love with Liam. I never stopped loving Liam. I'm sorry Wyatt.

(Beep, Beep) Steffy comes out of her daydream and realize she is in now in her car at green light.

Steffy let out a deep breath."What a day." The last thing Steffy thought she would be hearing when she met with her lawyer today was that her marriage to Wyatt had never been legal. The realization that her and Liam could of been together this whole time had Steffy emotions all over the place. It also had Steffy asking herself one very important question. Now that it turned out that she and Wyatt were not married and she was single. What did that mean for her and Liam?
