A small girl stared happily down at her, pink stuffed rabbit, Delilah Jones, that's her name, she's the small girl sitting in her front yard, staring down at a rabbit. This small girl would have many adventures in the distant future but for now she's a innocent child unaware of the horrors of reality. But that's all right after all this is only the beginning of the story.

A now 16 years old Delilah stared angrily at her bedroom door. Her mother was down stairs with another man, the third this week. Her mother always had a new man to bring home ever since Delilah's father left, it was one after another, but all the men were gone by the time her mother woke up, many times with several items missing.
It was disgusting.
Delilah was sick of it so she decided the simplest way to make it stop was to leave. So she would.
She fiddled her thumbs as got off her bed searching for something to carry her items in. Once she had found a bright red duffle bag she marched over to her closet and grabbed random clothes and shoving them into her bag. After all would it matter if her clothes matched? She snuck out of her room and down the hall, ignoring all the disgusting noises coming from the living room, to the pantry, she then started grabbing canned food and some junk food before swiftly walking back to her room, along the way picking up up her cat, Mittens.
"Hey Mittens." She said softly earning a quiet meow back.
Delilah grabbed her pocket knife, flash light, and 57 American dollars. She open the window before stepping out on to the roof, Mittens securely tucked into her jacket. She was almost free... Now was the fact that she had to get down from the roof. Easy, she jumped. There house was built into a hill so there wasn't very much of a drop. Then she ran, she ran towards the the bus stop not caring about people's curious glances, mostly because she was out past 11 o'clock.

Delilah~

I'm free! I thought happily as the bus pulled up. I gave the bus driver the fee and told him to take me anywhere but here. Then I went and sat down in the back as I felt my brain finally comprehend what I just did.
'I ran away from my home...' 'I just ran away from home!' 'Where am I going to go?! What happens when I run out of money?! Why'd I bring Mittens?! Oh come on I'm so stupid I didn't think this through. Idiot. Idiot. Idiot.' I thought basically having a mental breakdown, including flailing my arms wildly.
"Bro, chill. You alright? You look like your die'n back here." A girls voice asked breaking me out of my thoughts.
"Yeah I'm alright sorry for worrying you," I said embarrassed," The names Delilah!"
"Lizzy is what my nonexistent friends call me. Now tell me why is such a person as you out at this hour, and with such a big bag?" She asked sliding into my seat.
"Why do you want to know?" I asked after pausing for a second.
"Just looking for someone to help, you know my Good Deed of the Day. So your running away?"
"I never said I was running away! Go find someone else to help."
"So you are running away. Wow, I can't believe my lucky day!"
"So what if I am? You going to tr-"
"I'm coming with you." Se stated cutting my sentence off.
              "What?!"
