Kalen was speechless. Once she had entered the living room, a boy, a friend stood there. His face looked shy and concerned. His stormy greys seemed calm and controlled. A picture flashed through her head of Dustin, the new one that they had encoutered. Without the evil embbed in his bones or his stormy like eyes that seemed to mimic a hurricane itself.
She froze like a statue, as he gazed at her. Everyone was silent in antipation. Aaron unclasped her hand and let her go as she walked towards Dustin. His face was shoured in depression and mystery.
"Dustin." Her voice was soft and quietly. She stood in front of him, her body trembling of fear, concern and friendship. She slowly ascened her hand, matching up to his face. Her breath became shaky with unresolved thoughts and the past. The painful past that she had encoutered with him. With such force, she slapped him across the face, his head going the other way evenually ending up on the carpeted floor rubbing his warm cheek, stinging with pure pain.
"Go. To. Hell." She seethed in her voice lethel as venom. Dustin looked up at her as Cera joined him on the floor.
Without another word, she turned away and headed out the back door, anger and betrayal rising quickly inside of her; but this time it was difference. She felt animalistic like something was tearing inside of her.
"Kale!" Aaron shouted coming up from behind her and wrapping his arms tightly around her.
"Kale." he whispered.
She nearly collasped in his arms, breaking down in tears and pain. He sat with her on the wet grass, fresh from the morning dew.
"I-is he evil?" She asked him, her voice trembling with clear fear.
Aaron held her closer. "No. I couldn't sense evil within him." He said hushed.
Kalen bit her lip, squeezing her eyes shut. "He was my old friend and he betrayed us...now he suddenly just comes back?" Her voice with anger and authority.
He looked down at her, kissing the crown of her head. "I have little trust in him. " He paused. "If he touches a hair on your head, I will think differently."
She smiled, her years now falling freely now from her cheek. "I love you, Aaron... You know that?"
He chuckled, placing a kiss on her forehead. "I know that. " He stood and helped Kalen stand. "Let's go back."
She nodded and leaned against him.

Dustin's cheek ached and stinged but he didn't know what was worst. The lack of trust or the pain on his face. Everyone was silent and he thought even a pin could drop in the room and it would be heard. His attention turned to Jace who seemed different. His pale skin contrasting with his but Jace spoke first. "Im a vampire, Dustin and I think Kalen had the right idea. Although, I would have though I would had slapped you." He said matter-of-factly.
Dustin stood up and looked around all the members standing before him. There was Cera, Jacob, Bennet, a witch and Dustin. "I came back didnt I?" He seethed.
The door swung open and appeared with Aaron and Kalen huddled together. Water was pouring out of there hair and they were trembling. "I dont know what happened but it started raining!" Aaron ranted.
Elena peeked outside, letting the cool wind enter the house. In the distance, she saw a shadow of muscular proportions. "Marcus is coming!" She didn't believe her words.
Aaron lead Kalen to the couch and wrapped a blanket around her body. Ridley ran downstairs and did the same to Aaron but his body heat was more directed towards Kalen.
