Chapter 19

Omniscient

Liza laid in her bed playing with her engagement ring. It has been days since she last spoken to Kyon, she does not like the feeling. Her mother had been more strict on her about her whereabouts and her father has been trying to apologize but she's been avoiding him since the dinner.

After taking her dose of insulin she made her way to the kitchen on search of something to eat. It was Saturday and both her parents were at work, the house was empty with just her and Rebecca.

"Liza can I talk to you for a minute" Liza sighed lowly cursing her self for wanting something to eat, had she not leave her room Lucious wouldn't have seen her to speak to her, she was doing so well avoiding the conversation.

"Yes Lucious" she frowned wondering why he wasn't at work.

"I haven't really got the chance to apologize for what I said-"

"What are you apologizing for? You were just being a normal parent teaching their child a valuable lesson about life" she shrugged her shoulders.

"True but-"

"I'm not mad or anything, you were right and who am I as the child to get mad at you, the parent, for something like that"

"I still felt like I hurt you"

"It's cool" she smiled "I'm going to the mall, tell my mother when she comes for me please"

"Sure I won't be here but I'll right a note"

"Thanks"

She walked up to her room and grabbed her things before leaving.

Kyon sat in his room playing games on his play station. He heard the tv in the living room playing and he frowned. The house was empty with everyone at work so he wondered who else could be in the house.

"Wassup punk" he pursed his lips when he saw Mel on the couch eating snacks and watching the tv.

"What you doin' here?"

"Nothin just wanted to chill for a second"

"Where Cha?"

"Home, she ain't feel to good"

"Oh ok tell her get well" he wanted to end the conversation as quick as possible. He wasn't exactly 'cool' with Mel.

He made his way back to his room ready to play another game, he picked up the controller and started up the game. An alarm on his phone went off and he knew it was time to leave.

"Where you goin'?" Mel asked

"Library"

"Ma know?"

"Nope but I'a tell ha on the way"

"Nah tell ha now"

"Chill man imma do it"

"When you comin' back?"

"Ion really have a set time"

"Can you estimate it then?"

"Yeah I can"

"So when?"

"About the same time I walk through the door when I get back"

Kyon shook his head walking out the door.

"I'm goin' to the library ma" Kyon sighed into the
phone.

"Why did you leave after Mel told you not to?"

"He didn't say that, he said make sure to tell you and I am"
