Winnings. Battle

(Chapters get longer I promise)

Study hall finally! Today has been one of the best Mondays ever, all the bullies have died down a bit this week, only because I'm doing all there homework, when they told me I had to I didn't object at all so now it might be a bit easier on me. As I finished most of the work the bell rang. "Shit" I mumbled under my breath. Why? PE that's why. Guess who's in the

that class. Johnny yup the biggest homophobic there is. Truthfully I'm scared.

As I entered the class I went to the locker rooms. I sat staring at the corner, knowing what would be coming to me if I even glanced at any of the other guys in there changing. Once I couldn't hear anyone else moving I knew it was safe for me to change. Still wearing long sweats just different ones so I wouldn't stink for the rest of the day. I headed out of the room, the class was doing stretches so I joined in, just away from every one knowing if I got any closer it would be the death of me.

Once we were don't the coach came out. He was carrying a white mesh net full of dodge balls. Not again. The worst game ever. Coach instructed all of us to the bleachers to pick teams. I sat over at least four seats away from everyone as he picked teams. "Kara, Liam, Kimberly, Jake, Isaiah, Brantley, Leah, Jerry, Lane, and Jasmine. You will be team one." Ten people got up, and walked over to one side of the court. "Billy, Johnny, Susan, Jane, Matthew, Benjamin, Paul, Dylan, Britney, and Bethany. Will be team two." At least I'm not on the posited team of Johnny or I would be pummeled. I thought as I got up and walked to the court.

The balls were divided up with the teams and the dreaded whistle blew. That's when the ball flew in what seemed like only in my direction. Probably because they were. I was hit in the stomach all of the air leaving me as a fell on my back to the ground, while I was down they kept raining down on me. Coach blew the whistle, "enough he is clearly out." He yelled and the balls ceased. I got up and stood on the out of bounds line waiting for a new game to be called.

The new game was called it happened all over again, I was starting to feel shaky, not eating in two days and then all this energy can do this to you. The game was calming down and nearing the end. Only a couple of us on my team weren't out yet me, Billy, Dylan, Johnny, and Britney. To bad Johnny is the biggest gay hater into is school because he is hot. By hot I mean HOT. Tall, muscular, jet black hair that was thick on top and short on the sides. The whole package. He caught one of the opponents dodge balls that they threw, getting them out. When he caught it the end of his shirt pulled up and inch or two showing off a definite V line. Mmmm. He's absolutely perfe- "boom" I was hit strait in the face. I tumbled to the ground. I was hurt my head hot the floor so hard I thought I felt it crack.

I heard a sharp blow of a whistle and the coach yelled, "Alright everyone get dressed, except for you Johnny I need you to help carry Benjamin to he nurse. I groaned. "Alright coach." Johnny's deep rough voice said. I opened my eyes a crack and I could see the coach and Johnny leaning over me. "You okay, took quite a fall?" The coach asked. I tried to speak but it came out extremely shaky. "Y-yeah m-mi-might o-o-f h-h-hit my hea-head a b-bit." "Johnny bring him over to my office and put him on the stretcher, I need to call the nurse down here, he is way to weak to walk." Coach commanded. I felt my self being picked up, before long I was placed on a plush feeling bed, I guess this was the stretcher.

Coach was examining my head. Johnny was still here watching. "Benjamin, how long has it been since you have last ate?" With this small sentence I froze. "Wh-what do you mean?." I asked. "Don't play stupid, I'm a health teacher and I've been one for several years now. Your skin and bones. You are also very shaky, and a small hit like that shouldn't of knocked you down. Now how long has it been since you've eaten?" Shit. Shit. Shit. SHIT! "Uhh, maybe Friday." I said and looked at my feet.

Coach made Johnny carry me to the nurses office with a note in hand, saying I need some rest some food and my head needs to be checked out. It was so embarrassing being in his arms when he is so hot and he hates me so much.

Johnny checked me in to the nurses office we waited there for what seems like hours it gets boring so I work up the courage to speak up. "Why did you help me?" I ask and all I get is a short answer in reply. "Didn't have much of a choice did I, coach told me to and I did what he asked." He said shrugging his shoulders. "But you never objected," told him. "I also thought you hated me." I said. "Where did you get that idea, I never said that." He told me, so I guess he didn't hate me after all.

"You sure act like it." I said.

"How so?" He asked.

"Well your the biggest homophobe in this school, you force me to do your homework, shove me, punch me, call me names, and more. That spells out hate to me." I said counting the things off on my fingers.

"Trust me, I don't hate you." He says in an almost hateful tone. Not to me but more to himself.

"Whatever." I say as the nurses comes in. She tells Johnny to leave so she can fix me up, she than sends me on my way to my 8th period class. Language, my next class.
