[A/N: Is it too late for this fanfic? I hope not! Hahahaha. Tagal na nito sa netbook ko pero hindi ko mapost kasi edit ako ng edit, this is supposed to be a long one pero ginawa ko nalang one shot. So here it is.. ]
“May bago bang shirt ang UST ngayon?”
I didn’t mind answering Lia’s question.
Sayang. We lasted the dynasty of Ateneo, won over the Bulldogs and won again to break their rank, we prove that arrows didn’t work on Tigers in the Finals Game 1 but the Archers revenged in Game 2. Buhay pa kami he quoted. May Game 3 pa. At sana, in Jesus name, maipanalo ito ng Tigers.
Game 3. For the first quarters, lamang ang Tigers, you can see each of them playing their hearts out lalo na si captain. But not until the Archers came back to their senses. Nakahabol.
Then the last minute came, last play. At ishushoot NI JERIC for a win, for the championship, para sa Thomasian community.
Aljon took the shot and missed it. THAT WASN’T THE PLAY! Everyone was shocked and dissapointed at the same time. (Don’t get me wrong, I’m not Aljon’s hater. Just a regular UST students who hopes a champonship for my beloved university.) But again, buhay pa kami. May overtime pa.
But the rest was history, to make the long story short. The Tigers roar in defeat againts the Green Archers who claim the championship. DLSU crowd jump in joy. That was supposed to be the Thomasian community only if—
I stopped the thought. Wala rin namang magbabago. Talo parin. Kahit ilang ‘What if’ ang isipin ko, talo parin.
“No, naka move on na ako. Naalala ko lang.“ I’m just reminiscing that heartbreaking loss, the championship that supposed to be ours. Or maybe, hindi pa nga talaga ako nakakamove on. Everything is going right, everything is in the Team Gold favor not until that missed shot.
“Eh sino bang may kasalanan?” Tanong ni Lia.
Sino nga ba? Wala akong maisip. I can’t blame Aljon. Yes, he missed the shot but I can’t blame him because in the first place we won’t reached the final four without his clutch plays in the FEU game that we won after 2OTs. Mabe walang may kasalanan. Maybe we’re really destined to be second. For two seasons? Oh, please!
“Ewan.
Lia continued my sentence.
The last time we check, wala namin kaming kaibigan sa Accountancy since Commerce ang college namin.
