They think they know me but they don't
Nice car , nice house
It's all a joke
Just because I'm not from a broken home
Doesn't mean I need to be fixed
When parents are together that's just one more person to fight with
You don't see the scars , you don't see the pain
All you see is a mascaraed
Just because I'm given things
Doesn't mean it heals my pain
Just because I'm with another
Doesn't mean I miss my brother
The divorce , the drugs , the alcohol
Shine through to be seen by all
And just when you think I'm perfect
Look at me in the mirror and see it's not worth it
I cry I lie I cheat I steal
I'm the same as you but you can't see
My life is not a game
I'm pressured for perfect grades
I dig down deep ,and what comes up
Is lies and tears in one big bunch
The lies that you think my life is
Is a mere fragment of my imagination
You can't see through all the lies
unless your eyes are on the inside
YOU ARE READING
