Meet the new Secretary

Chapter 6

"Who was that chick bro?" Carl asked Chase as they walked in his office. The poor guy is still in pain after being punched by Clara.

Chase is trying really hard not to laugh at what happened to Carl. Who would have thought that Clara could punch that good? He was busy typing in his computer when he heard the commotion outside the door of his office. He already had an idea on who was disturbing his peace of mind. Carl , is a long time acquaintance and also a friend. Although Carl can be really annoying Chase still considers him a true friend.

"That was my new secretary." He answered nonchalantly. Chase returned to his computer while Carl decided to sit on his table.

"Man! Where do you get your secretaries, is there some kind of a secret organization where you hire those smoking hot chicks? Man that Asian Girl is HOT!"

Chase stopped typing and glared at him before answering.

"That was racist Carl." He said instead of answering his question. He didn't know why but he actually felt possessive about Clara.

Carl only shrugged his shoulders and dismissed what he said.

"So what's her name?"

"She's off limits."

Carl laughed so hard that he almost fell of the table. He laughed for a couple of minutes before he decided to stopped. Carl wiped the tears out of his eyes before making another stupid comment

"Why so possessive bro? It's not as if she is your girl or anything."

"Not yet." Chase answered without even looking up from his computer. He is really pissed at Carl right now. He didn't even know why , it's not as if he is really attracted to Clara or anything. Damn this feeling! 

"Cocky aren't we?" 

"What?"

"I said, Cocky aren't we? You seem so sure of yourself bro." Carl said in between laughs.

"I'm not. It just came out of my mouth. I didn't mean anything about."

"Yeah, sure. So have you asked her out already?" He said. 

"I  told you it's not like that!" Chase replied exasperated. Damn, why did he even put himself on the spot? 

Carl laughed again. "I'm not taking about Clara bro, I'm talking about Lindsey."

Chase just grumbled and returned to his work. He dated Lindsey for a couple of months before he started being MIA. The girl is so annoying! Before, he thought  that she is really sweet and smart but after two months of dating he found out that she is very clingy and not to mention a, real spoiled brat. He even introduced her to his family! Good thing he saw what her real attitude is before he even started having a relationship with her. Chase met Lindsey on one of the company parties he and Carl attended. Lindsey is the daughter of one his clients. She got his attention because she is really pretty and graceful. Chase thought that he can actually have a relationship with Lindsey but she possessed two of the things Chase hates most in a girl. Chase hates spoiled brats and he definitely hate clingy girls.

"She expects you to invite her again on your upcoming family reunion."

"What?! I was MIA bro, what makes her think that I would actually invite her or date her again?" Chase leaned on his chair and massaged his forehead. Carl shrugged his shoulders. 

"I don't know . Lindsey seems to have fallen hard for you." Carl said laughing.

"Damn." 

"If I were you, go find a date already. Or..go find yourself a girlfriend."
