its been a long time away from home for Lindsey, a long time without her family, her children and the one thing that really mattered to her for the last 12 years of her life, the person it should've been all along.. Her Joe
Lindsey had been sent to a specialist unit in the hospital back in her hometown of Essex after she gave birth to baby Lexi and her family became worried for her welfare. She'd always struggled with the idea that Lexi was Freddie's baby from the second she found out the paternity of her little girl but things became even worse when the baby was born, She started to blank Lexi out along with the people she was closest to and it was clear that they weren't the ones to help her anymore. Linds had already spent a good four months away from home but now the day had finally arrived when she had to face the world again and go back to Chester
Despite having no idea that Freddie had now rejected Lexi also and Joe had taken her on
Seconds seemed like Minutes and Minutes seemed like hours on Lindsey's journey back home but as she walked through the archway clutching at a locket necklace she was waring with a picture of her and Joe inside she could see the house in the distance. She took a deep breath and carried on walking.
Bag in hand and after a short period of walk Lindsey had approached the Roscoes' house, she gave herself a minute to think and tried to boost her confidence before she finally plucked up the courage to ring the door bell.
A shadow of someone appeared in the texture patterned glass of the door and within seconds it swung open leaving Joe stood in front of Lindsey holding Lexi in his arms.
She looked back at the two of them and just from a split second of seeing Joe's face again Lindsey felt like she'd never gone away, flashes of memories the two of them shared together made her give a faint smile, she felt the butterflies she had the very first moment she met him
Joe stood blankly in front of her in complete shock "Linds.."
Lindsey knew she had to somehow force a response even if it wasn't much, the shock was alot for the both of them
"Hi, I've Missed you" she replied softy looking at Joe. Lindsey hesitated for a second and then slowly reached for Lexi's hand "Mummy's home now"
// Hey guys! its been a while, I kinda ran out of ideas for my previous story and didn't know how to expand on it, but I really wanted to start writing again. As Joe & Lindsey are my absolute favourite characters I feel I can write for I thought with the Lexi storyline I thought it would be interesting to make a little twist to keep her alive, This is just a short introduction chapter to what the story could be & I'm really hoping it works out, If there's anyone who's still loving Joe & Lindsey as their OTP like me even though 'Jindsey' isn't a thing anymore I guess this is for you! Feel free to leave me suggestions of what you think would be good to happen for them along the way :) x
