I looked him up and down and it felt as though I was losing my other half. He was always there for me and now he was leaving me for good... I was miserable and I couldn't stop blubbering. I wanted to say three words, 'I love you' but I just couldn't. He smiled that gorgeous smile of his and kissed my forehead. "You're my best friend no matter what happens, Phoebe." Hearing him say my name makes me smile as i look up at him. "I love you, Albany. And I will miss you dearly." I spoke confidently and he nodded once more leaning in. I wanted to kiss him so badly but i knew i couldn't. He kissed my cheek and we hugged for a long, long time. The smell of his clothes lingered swiftly, i could still smell the aftershave he had on. The taxi was small and yellow, almost too small for his giraffe-like body, he waved the final wave to me and he drove off. Gone forever. I paced slowly back inside and stumbled into my front door. My parents weren't home an I was all alone. I would generally call Albany but that obviously wasn't an option right now, the house was silent and i felt more than lonely. My heart was a at a normal race. I wasn't happy or sad... I was just... In the middle.

A few months past and it was now December, here in Australia it was Summer time. I had heard from Albany once... He said that he was good and he met a girl. *Long, hard, pittiful sigh* I wanted him so badly. Where am I now? Even I don't know but it's bright, misty and this guy is walking towards me... Albany... "Car crash. I love you. More than a friend." The whispers grew shorter and softer as the foggy mist drifted calmly away.

I realised he was in Heaven, he brought me up for a visit and he kissed me. Since my dream came true I am now an incredibly happy person. Even though it happened once... and once only, that moment was the most perfect time of my life. Never forget. There are so many Footprints that are left in the sand...
