'There's a storm coming.' I thought,the water was starting to get rough. 'Just my luck to get caught in a cave-less reef.' I thought,I quickly grabbed two empty conch shells and five pieces of mermadic-kelp and put them in my satchel.My H/C hair with F/C streaks started billowing in my eyes,(your hair is at least to your shoulders in the story,so sorry T-T)a painful remember of that night.
~Flashback~
'Honey,I think we should pull over.The wind's getting really bad.' Mom said, 'We'll be off the cliff in a few minutes,we'll be fine.' Daniel said.The dark water was crashing against the cliffs like they were trying to break them,suddenly a tree fell.Instinctively Daniel tried to swerve but accidentally crashed over the side,the car hit the water with such force that it cracked the glass.We started sinking, 'We have to get out!' Mom shouted trying to untie her seatbelt in a panic. 'The waves will crush us if we do!And how will we get back up then?!' Daniel retorted,I saw water start seeping in through the back doors. 'Arguing will get us nowhere,we have to stay calm.' I said,I wasn't as afraid for me as my mom and step-dad,I was half mermaid after all. 'You're the only one that can get away sweetie,Daniel and I have no chance.' Mom said, 'What the heck are you talking about?!Does she have some kind of super swimming strength?!' Daniel asked sarcastically. 'I'm half mermaid sea-weed brain!But I can't just leave you Mom,maybe I can carry you both to the shore?!' I said tears in my eyes,the cracks in the windows started getting worse. 'Why didn't you tell me this when we got married?!' Daniel demanded, 'Would you have believed me,and if you did would you have stayed?!' Mom shouted. 'OF COURSE I WOULD!!I love you,don't you realise that?!!' Daniel shouted,and then the glass broke.A few seconds later I had a pink tail with light blue at my hips and the tip of the fin and F/C streaks in my hair,a few shards of glass had cut Mom and Daniel.We climbed out of the windows,the full force of the waves jerked us around like rag-dolls.Suddenly my head hit a rock,the last thing I saw was my Mom and step-dad struggle to stay in one place.

After that my real dad found me passed out on a bed of sea grass,then he took me to one of the mermaid communities.I was seventeen now,of age in the mermaid world. 'Toby would be twenty one about now,if he's still alive.' I thought,suddenly a huge current jerked me off memory lane. 'WATER SPOUT!!' I shouted but only bubbles came out,mermaids communicated like dolphins underwater.I started swimming but soon I was sucked into the giant water whirlwind,marine life and other things swirled along with me.I screamed as I swirled in circles,then the pressure made me black out.
