Forever Mine

Chapter 4

Roman slowly walked back over to the side of the bed, his eyes nervously boring into mine. Sighing he finally broke eye contact with me, looking down at the bed that I was currently sitting on. "I didn't want to be the one to have to tell you this. I was hoping that your parents would have at least told you something throughout the years." My head was spinning, what could my parents possibly have anything to do with anything that is happening. "I don't understand what you are getting at." I snapped a little angrier than I meant, but not really caring regardless. Roman sighed again running his fingers through his hair.

"You and I are meant to be together. Ever since the day you were born you have been my mate." He was staring at me intently while he continued his rant. "You know I have watched you grow up...? From a far of course." He asked with a nervous laugh. "I just had to see you, I couldn't wait until the moment that you would finally be mine." I jumped out of the bed, automatically feeling dizzy but I was not going to let that stop me, I was seriously pissed.

"Are you seriously listening to yourself right now!" I couldn't help the screams that were coming out of my mouth. "This is ridiculous, you use to watch me? So your a stalker and a kidnapper?" I asked not waiting for an answer. "And I am not YOURS! I am not a piece of property that you can just fucking claim!" I could see the anger burning in his eyes as the blood began to rush to my head from all of my screaming making me even more lightheaded. I found myself grabbing the wall to prevent myself from falling over. What is wrong with me, I can barley stand. I found myself wondering if I was drugged, I mean I have never been drugged before but I imagine it would feel like this.

I felt myself being pushed back down onto the bed, I couldn't find an ounce of energy to fight back against the man over powering me. "You need to rest, you lost a lot of blood earlier."  Roman stated as he placed me in the bed, covering up my legs. What happened earlier that caused me to lose a lot of blood? I don't remember hurting myself in anyway. I remember trying to get out of here, I went downstairs and.... The man, the man who started screaming at me. But what happened after that? Wait! I remember him pinning me up against the wall and... The stabbing pain in my neck. What did he do to me? Is that when I was drugged?

I squeezed my eyes shut rubbing my temples, I can definitely feel a headache coming on. "What happened to me? What did that man downstairs do to me? What is going on!?" The questions where just flowing out of my mouth without my control. I opened my eyes and found Roman staring at me nervously, he is definitely hiding something... but what? "Jayde I'm not sure if now is the best time to tell you this, what with everything that has happened already." 

"JUST TELL ME!" I screamed back, my patience completely gone. "HE BIT YOU! is that what you wanted to hear Jayde? The man downstairs bit you and drank your blood! Welcome to the world of vampires!" Roman replied, anger and sarcasm dripping from every word. My stomach dropped, nausea overcoming me. "Your more crazy than I thought." I could fell the tears swelling in my eyes but I pushed them back down.

Roman snorted rolling his eyes "If you say so Jayde." I jumped off of the bed and ran to the en-suite bathroom. looking at my reflection in the mirror I looked worse than I though. I skin was so pale it was almost translucent, and my usual bright eyes were dim and almost dead looking. I tilted my head to the side to get a better view of my neck, and there right before my eyes were two small puncture wounds almost like..... vampire fangs. NO that's not possible, vampires do not exist. I was definitely drugged that must be where the two holes in my neck are from. I must have been drugged... right? In order for me to even consider for a second that vampires are real I must be on something.

I tore my gaze from the holes in my neck back up to my deathly face. Behind me I could see the reflection of Roman standing in the doorway just watching me. "Why are you doing this to me?" I stated trying to suppress the tears that were threatening to spill from my eyes.  My eyes never leaving his reflection in the mirror, I did not trust this man for a moment and I was not going to let my guard down. "Because I love you." He replied simply like he was stating the obvious.

My body shuddered at the seriousness of his statement. "You don't even know me." I replied back not knowing what else to say. "But you see Jayde I do know you, probably better than you know yourself." Roman said walking further into the bathroom, closing the distance between us. "I have known you your entire life, I know everything about..." I cut him off yelling and pounding my fist against the bathroom sink. "STOP IT! just stop!" I spun a round to face him, "Do you not understand how crazy all of this is?" I figured I could try reasoning with him, but I would have to attempt to keep my anger in check.

"Just listen to yourself, your talking about stalking and kidnapping, vampires and being in love with someone you don't know at all." I stared at his face for a few moments to try to decipher if I was getting through to him at all. His deep blue eyes gazing back into my Jade ones. I could see in those eyes that I was getting nowhere with my reasoning. "But you see Jayde all of that is true. I am a vampire, I do know you and I am in fact in love with you... more than you could ever know." He lifted his hand and grazed his fingers across the check, his eyes not once leaving mine.

I quickly smacked his hand away from the face, anger again filling my eyes. "You know what? I am done playing your stupid little game. I am leaving weather you like it or not!" I snapped pushing past him out of the bathroom. Before I could get anywhere I was forcefully pushed up against the bedroom wall. The air was knocked out of my lungs, I closed my eyes from the pain of the impact and trying to regain my breath. I felt a cold hard body up against my own, I opened my eyes to find Roman standing there with his hands on either side of my head. His eyes were filled with more anger than I have ever seen.

"DAMN-IT! I am so sick of your attitude Jayde! Do you have any idea how lucky you are.... HUH do you?!" Roman screamed in my face pounding his hands on the wall by my head making me flinch into the wall. So far when he would scare me he would automatically change his attitude. But this time he was not changing it to help make me feel better and it was terrifying me. "Up until now I have been very nice Jayde, usually I'm nothing like that. If anyone dare act the way you have towards me I would kill them in a second. I am a prince and you need to show some fucking respect do you understand me?"

I was so scared the only thing I could do is shake my head in response. "I could kill you, your friends and your family so fast you would not even see it coming. So now I want you to drop the fucking attitude and fucking cooperate!" He finally pushed off of the wall and stepped back a foot, his eyes still on mine. "Now do we have an understanding Jayde?" He asked cocking his head to the side. Again I could only shake my head yes to scared that my voice would betray me.

I'm begining to think I might have to play along with this homicidal maniac for a little bit before I can find a way out of here. So what have I learned so far? I have been stalked and kidnapped by some crazy but sexy lunatic who thinks he is a vampire who is in love with me. I mean don't get me wrong I liked twilight as much as the next person but this whole I actually think I'm Edward Cullen is a little much. Oh and lets not forget this has all happened on my birthday!
