Avery POV

“Are you crazy?!” I practically scream.

“Yep, for you,” Ethan smirks.

“We’re barely eighteen, we can’t get married!” I yell.

“We don’t have to get married tomorrow, love. Just say yes. Say you’ll marry me in five years. Ten years. A thousand years. I’ll wait forever for you if I have to,” He smiles.

“But-” I start.

“No buts. Please, for the love of god, give me an answer. I’ve been down on one knee forever, love,” He blushes.

“Get up and sit with me?” I ask, motioning to a bench a couple feet away. I carry the flowers and card, and Ethan follows with the ring and a disappointed look on his face.

“I’m not breaking up with you, and I’m not saying no. I just want to think and process for a minute,” I explain, sitting down.

“Okay,” He says simply.

“Marriage. Wow. Holy shit,” I say.

“What’s wrong?” He asks.

“I never really thought I’d get married. I always thought I was going to end up alone with eight cats,” I laugh.

“But you have me,” He states.

“Yes, and I love you. You just took me by surprise,” I say.

“I gathered. Any questions?”

“What will my parents say? Oh god,” I cringe at the thought.

“To wait at least a year. Get your online classes finished first, and to make sure you’re ready. I would know, I asked,” He admits sheepishly.

“You asked my parents?” I giggle.

“Yeah, I know, old-fashioned, I suppose, but it meant a lot to me to get your father's approval,” He blushes.

“I think its very cute,” I smile and kiss his cheek.

“So, is that a yes?” He asks, grinning wildly.

“Yes!” I exclaim excitedly.

Ethan jumps in excitement, picking me up and spinning me around.

“Ethan Khan, you put me down right this instant!” I yell.

“Anything for you, future Mrs. Khan,” He says, putting me down and bowing.

“Oh stop it,” I blush.

He stands up and takes my hand in his, slides the ring on my finger, and we begin walking to the car. I admire the ring while we’re walking

“Wait!” I exclaim, pulling out my phone, “This is too perfect, take a picture with me.”

We turn our backs to the beautiful scenery behind up, and Ethan kisses my cheek while he takes a picture of the two of us.

“I love you,” I smile as I put my phone away.

“I love you too,” He says, pulling me in for a kiss.

We walk back to the car in silence, the only noise being one of us giggling while we walk hand in hand. He holds the door for me while I get into the car, and then walks around to the drivers side, and we pull away, headed for home, our fingers entwined on the center console. We pull into the parking garage and make it up the stairs into the apartment. I set my flowers in a vase next to the others that are still on the counter, and stick the card to the fridge.

“Now, its time for your surprise,” I say, making it to the bedroom before I was rid of my dress and heels, revealing a black and purple corset with matching black lace panties.

“I should've asked you to marry me sooner,” Ethan states as he crosses the bedroom, shutting the door behind him and kissing me deeply.
