You wake up one morning and find that you aren't in your bed; you aren't even in your room. You're in the middle of a giant maze. A sign is hanging from the ivy: "You have one hour. Don't touch the walls." You spin in circles looking for a way out. But, the only path is the one in front of you. You can hear your heartbeat drumming in your ears, your breathing ragged. You start down the beginning of the maze trying to calm yourself. You come to the first split, the first decision. Left? Or right? You look between the two options. Sadly, they both look the same, straight for a few feet and then splitting into two. You choose left, heedful of the sign and careful not to touch the walls. You feel like an animal trapped in a cage, alone and frightened. Only this cage is made out of tall green bushes and you don't know when you're going to be free again. You go on this way for many more twists and turns, lefts and rights for a long time. Until finally, you turn a right and stop. This path is different, it doesn't split into two opposite paths like the others, it ends. When you get to the end you read the sign that is placed there. It's only one word, "RUN". Your breath catches in your throat. You feel a sort of shaking from beneath you. Looking down you see the ground cracking, ready to crumble. All of a sudden, vines start coming out of the cracks reaching for your legs. You turn and sprint for your life not wanting to find out what those vines will do if they catch you. You glance back and see them gaining on you, they're so close. When you turn your head back to where you are going you trip, you fall and you catch yourself with one hand while the other hand is holding onto the green maze wall. Your hand starts getting covered in the wall, then your arm and the whole right side of your body. Then you are enveloped in darkness and silence.
