"The day my mother died I told her I hated her. I told her that I hated her, but... I didn't hate her, not at all. If there was any way to take words back or redo a moment, that's the moment I would take back. I would tell her how much I loved her and how much I admire her as a woman and as a mother, and how much I want to be like her." This is how Luna Santiago started her conversation with her new Therapist, Maria Rodriguez.
Luna's mother died from an aneurysm, right after their argument. Agatha was walking up the stairs and then she just fell. Luna was struck, she didn't know what to do, she ran to her but it was too late she was already dead.
"Mom! Mommy, are you okay?" She said this with tears going down her face.
"Mommy, I didn't mean what I said I love you, please wake up, please... please mommy you can't leave me here, alone" The realization of what had happened started hitting her, she called her dad.
"Dad! Mom fell down the stairs-"
"No, she's not responding, daddy I'm scared. What if she's dead..."

The day of Agatha Galonos funeral there was this sorrow in the day, Luna remembers the day perfectly. It was September 29th a very downhearted day, she felt numb, she couldn't believe that she didn't have a mom anymore. Luna will always remember her mother a super woman, all her stories full of life and adventure, she would always remember her mom as who she wants to be in the future. Luna had never seen her dad cried before and he just looked so... heartbroken.
"I love you, please always remember" Said Andres, Luna's father, with tears running down his cheeks.
Luna didn't say anything in return but she hugged him, tightly and gave him a kiss on the cheek, then she returned to look at the grown where her mother had now been buried. A couple minutes go by and Julie, Luna's best friend approaches her.
"I'm going to miss her so much, she was like my own mother. Who are we going to rely on for nagging" She said this and Luna let a little smile come out,
"Awe, there you go, we both know Agatha wouldn't want you to be crying. She's looking over you and me, she'll take care of us, we have a guardian angel now." Julie always knew what to said to make her feel better, maybe this is why they have been friends for such a long time.
"You know... I never appreciated her till now. She'll never know how much I loved her, she won't... And man she took my heart with her, that was my mom, the only one I had, my best friend... I just don't know what I'm gonna do without her. I feel so empty. Why? Why did she have to die, she was only 31. She had to see me grow" At this point, Luna is crying uncontrollably
"Why did she have to die! The only person who took care of me! Why, God, Why! I want to die, I can't to this" Last words she said before she fainted.
