Brother's Teammate (Andrew Benintendi)

Chapter 3

MAY 19TH 

Well it was a quick trip to KC. The game on Monday had been postponed due to a bad storm, so we played a double-header yesterday and it was a really long day for everyone. We ended up losing the series 2-1, which was hard on the guys but hey, you can't win them all. 

We were leaving KC today and we get to go back home for a 6 game home stand and then we go on the road for 7 to Toronto and Baltimore. I've never been to either place before and I couldn't wait! 

I got up around 8 and got into the shower and changed (picture above). I packed up the rest of my things and then my phone started going off. I looked at it and saw the outfielders had added me into their group chat, as did the pitchers, catchers, infielders and Papi was in the infielders one. I rolled my eyes and put my phone in my purse and went down to the lobby. 

"There she comes. Come on princess lets go." X said as I came up to them and I laughed. "By the way, thanks to you all for adding me into your group chats. I'm pretty sure just about two minutes ago I had over 100 texts messages from you all." I said and that earned laughs. 

We put our luggage on the bottom of the bus and then climbed on and I sat in the same spot and this time, X sat next to me and Andrew and Mookie sat behind us. I just stared out the window until I felt my phone vibrate and I looked at it and saw that Andrew had texted me. 

"So I know you're sitting right in front of me, but I just wanted to ask you if you wanted to go on a date with me when we get home tonight." I smiled and knew Xander was reading over my shoulder, so I looked at him and he smiled and I smacked him. 

"What was that for?" He asked rubbing his arm. "For you reading over my shoulder and looking at my texts you doof." I said and heard Andrew and Mookie laugh and I just answered Andrew by turning around and talking to him. "Of course I will. Text me when and where." I said with a smile. 

We were finally at the airport and we got onto the plane and I sat by the window again, Andrew on my right and then Jackie Bradley Jr. all the way on the aisle.

The flight went quick and we were finally back home.  We got home around 3 and Andrew texted me shortly after saying that he would pick me up around 730, and dress casual. I took another shower and got ready.

I picked out a flannel, black skinny jeans and some ballet flats. I straightened my hair and did my makeup and then X came into my room. "Now sis, you know the rules right?" I looked at him and shook my head. "Okay 1) he has to have you home by midnight. 2) no sex. 3) no kissing in front of the house so I can see 4) no drugs or alcohol and 5) just have fun and be safe."

I laughed and gave him a hug. "Thanks X, you're the best." I said and he shrugged his shoulders like he knew that already. "Well Andrew is downstairs talking to mom and dad, so you better get down there." He said and he left and I put some perfume on and grabbed my purse and went down to the living room. 

"Hey you ready?" I asked and he nodded and stood up saying goodbye to my parents and giving them hugs and I did the same as well. "I'm sorry for them if they talked your ear off." I said as we got into his truck. "No it's alright, I love you parents, they're so nice." He said and then we were off. 

First we went out to a nice dinner and then we went off to see Mike and Dave need Wedding Dates and let me tell you, that is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. Then he took me out for froyo. "You know, this is one of the nicest dates that I've been on. Thank you for this." I said and he smiled. "Anytime beautiful." 

"You know with my last relationship, I never got any of this." I said and looked out onto the streets. "What do you mean?" He asked and I sighed. "My last relationship was all about the sex and nothing about the romance. Whenever I didn't give into his ways, he would abuse me and verbally abuse me telling me how ugly and fat I was and that I would never get another man to love me." 

He moved his chair closer to mine and hugged me. "I will never ever put you through that. I promise." He whispered in my ear. We continued talking for an hour until the froyo place had to close and then he dropped me off at home.

"Thank you again for everything. I had a really great time with you." I said looking at him. "Anytime beautiful, we should do this again soon." He said and I nodded and then he started leaning and and gave me the sweetest kiss. "Goodnight." I said and he said the same and I walked into the house and up to my room. 

X was sitting on my bed waiting for me to come home and tell him. He can be such a girl sometimes. "So how was it?" He asked and I smiled and told him everything. "So did he kiss you?" I blushed. "Yes he did. It was sweet." 

"Well I'm happy for you K, you deserve someone like Andrew, goodnight." He said giving me a kiss on the cheek and then leaving me to get ready for bed. 

What an a amazing night.
