Some people say Dèjá Vu comes from an angel trying to protect you.
I say it's a second chance.

I locked the door of my apartment and started walking down the hall of my apartment complex. The hallways' walls were a maroon red carpet type of thing. Suddenly five doors down from my door a little girl rushed out in a puffy pink dress. She turned her head, red hair bouncing in the ponytails. "Chance!" She yelled. I bent down and had my arms out. She ran into them giving me a big hug. "Hey there Delilah." I pulled back. "We're gowin to a pway grouwnd." She said. I laughed. "Well you go do that." I told her. She smiled a toothy grin while Mrs. Austen, her mom, rushed out of the apartment. "Delilah, honey, slow down!" She saw me and her then gave me a weak smile. "Sorry." She apologized. "No problem." I shook my head.

They soon left while I went down stairs. I stepped down the three flights of metal stairs with each step making a sound. I finally got down the stairs and went my car. It was a grey Mazda. I unlocked it and got in. I sat down in the seat. My butt was hit with a freezing seat. I cringed. After getting use to the temp stare of my car I put it into reverse and backed out of my parking spot. I then put it back into drive and drove off to down town.

I saw a little shop with a sign that said "Adelynn's Dream" I decided to pull in and park. I hopped out of my grey Mazda and locked it. I opened the glass doors of the shop only to be greeted with the smell of old books and dust. I breathed it in. That was my favorite smell. I walked in. "Welcome to Adelynn's Dream!" A girl with dyed red hair said to me. I smiled at her. The stood had Dreamcatchers everywhere hanging from the ceiling tiles. There were isles with books, movies, comics, vinyls, etc.

I looked at the shop with awe. I walked into one of the isles with books. I pulled out an old one and dusted it off. It revealed a light green color with a oval in the middle. The oval was outlined with flowers and the title read "The Secret Garden" I picked it up and started reading the faded book. I walked down the isle with my head buried in the book.

I suddenly bumped into something making me drop my book. I immediately looked up to say sorry. There was a man that looked about twenty two (my age) standing there. He had shaggy dark brown hair and black rimed glasses that framed his perfectly caramel brown eyes. "I'm so sorry." We said at the same time. We chuckled. He then bent down and picked up my book handing it to me.

"My names Tristan. What's yours?" He asked. "Chance. Thanks for handing me my book." I said. He chuckled. "Yeah, it was nice running into you." He smiled. Oh gosh his smile was perfect. I smiled back. "Well, I should be on my way. Bye, it was nice meeting you." I told him. "You too, bye." He waved and we walked in separate directions. "Man, Tristan was cute." I thought. "Hold up, Chance. You just met him." I scolded my self. I clutched my book and went to rent it.

"Is that all?" The red head asked me. "Yeah." I told her. She took a sticker then placed it on the book before handing it back to me. I glanced and saw her name tag. She was Adelynn. "You have a nice collection of things here." I complemented. "Thank you." She replied sweetly. I nodded and headed back home.

As I was driving home from the little shop I had just been to I couldn't get Tristan off my mind. I pulled up to a red light and pulled out the book I rented. I opened it and something fell out. It was a piece of paper. I leaned over to pick it up. "617-303-7980 -Let's be friends. ~Tristan" I smiled. I looked up to see the light had turned green so I pressed on the gas petal and drove home.

Tristan's p.o.v (in the store)
I opened the non-fictional book telling me all the details a out the Greek gods. I always enjoyed these tales. I didn't believe in them but I still read them. By far my favorite was Pandora's Box. As I was reading the details about the love god, Venus, I bumped into someone. I looked up scared to see a angered
person but only to see a girl my age with a book at her feet. She had long curled dark brown hair with beautiful hazel eyes.

"I'm so sorry." We spoke at the same time. I chuckled at this. I bent down and picked up her book. I looked at it briefly then slipped in my number and gave it to her. I could write a new number for my boss. "My names Tristan. What's yours?" I asked the beautiful girl standing in front of me. "Chance. Thanks for handing me my book." I chuckled not understanding how it was possible for her to be so beautiful and polite. "Yeah, it was nice running into you." I smiled at her and she smiled back. Geez, even her smile was beautiful! "Stop it, Tristan! You just ran into her!" I said to myself. "Well, I should be on my way. Bye, it was nice meeting you." She said. "You too, bye." I waved. I turned around and walked the opposite way. "I hope she calls me." I thought.
