He slowly opened his pale blue eyes and looked around the room. White walls, beeping monitors, and the smell of alcohol swabs. He squinted his eyes tightly shut before opening them again. "Sir?" He heard a females voice call. He looked around once more and looked up to find a woman with blonde hair standing beside him, "Sir, do you know where you are?"
He looked around, "Not exactly."
"Sir, you're in the hospital. Do you remember anything prior to this? Do you remember your name?" She questioned him as she tapped her red fingernails on a clipboard.
"Well I know my name. Robert Barnes." He told her, a bit harsh.
"Well, sir, you received multiple gunshot wounds to the chest after being shot by another soldier. Rescuers found you with your eyes wide open and almost rolled in the back of your head." She replied.
Barnes quickly leaned up on his elbows, "I was shot by another soldier?"
"Chris Taylor. Such a shame cause he seemed like a nice boy. He's facing federal prison and a dishonorable discharge is what I heard." She told him as she put her hands on her hips.
