The clouds covers the sun, so the air became cold. Everything was grey except the leaves turning from green to red. It was autumn in Amber valley, a small town out in the countryside. Today was a gloomy day, because soon the rain would come. A famous quote would say "everybody wants happiness, nobody wants pain, but you can't have a rainbow, without a little rain" But for one girl she was still waiting for her rainbow. This girl was sitting alone in a bathtub, listening to her parents fight like wolves, trying to bite off each other's throats. She was fragile and small, even her body was full of bruises.
The water slowly became colder the longer she sat in it, but she kept staring at the door out to the livingroom from the bathroom. Her mind was swarming with thoughts of getting out of the bathtub, but every word her parents shouted made her stun. The long hair which looked like a thousand shining stars, became grey like the world around her. The eyes which her mom always admired sins it looked like the ocean, became more black like her soul. Nothing was like it was before, nor will it ever change.
School started as usual at the beginning of autumn. It was a start of a new semester. All the girl's wore pretty dresses and bows on their hair. They all played around before the school bell rang. Except for that one girl who sat alone under a tree, and was drawing on her notebooks. She didn't have any pretty dresses like the other girls, rather she wore a light blue dress decorated with white lilies. Other people would say that those were pajamas, but this was her favorite dress. As well she had a grey hoodie over her "pajamas" and had a pink backpack that was covered in dirt. The girls thought she was wired and never talked to her, but she never cared. They wouldn't understand her anyways.
Suddenly the school bell rang, and everyone ran inside. The lonely girl under the tree slowly put her notebooks in her backpack, and sighed. School was not something she looked forward too. The first class was history, and every one found their own place to call theirs. Everyone threw paper planes at each other, and played around until the teacher came inn. Everyone sat down quietly like angels, while the lonely girl who sat all the way in back started drawing again.
"Welcome students to the fourth grade. I will be you're History teacher, and before we start we have a new student who just moved to Amber valley."Everyone was exited and almost couldn't sit still on their own chairs. Then the door slowly opened and in came the new student. Everyone's smiles slowly disappeared, before making the impression of being shocked. It wasn't because he had on different clothes nor was ugly. No it was because his skin was darker than the others. Some people would call his kind black, others would say a even worse name.
"This is Isak. He used to live in New York City, but just moved to Amber valley not that long ago. So everyone be nice to Isak and give him a warm welcome. Is it anything you want to say Isak before we start class?" Isac looked at the students as he knew why they were starring at him uncomfortably. "Hi... nice to meet you.." Isac said while forcing a smile. The class didn't answer instead whisper with each other, and looked at him with a disgusted look. The teacher slowly knew what they were on about but tried to make things less difficult . "Well Isak. There is a seat next to Luna. Why don't you sit down and get your books out." Isac nodded and went to his seat. He tried to keep his smile while every eye was starring at him in every corner. The seat he got was right by the lonely girl who was drawing on her notebooks. Her name was Luna, the only one who didn't stare at him. He sat down in his seat while he couldn't get his eyes of of her. Not because she was any prettier that the others, rather she was different. "Okay class, take out your books and start at page 2. There will be a pop quiz next week, so be prepared." Everyone stopped glaring at Isak and took out their books, from their new pretty backpacks. Isak opens the book but couldn't help noticing that the girl next to him didn't even bother to even touch her books. She was so in to her drawing that the pencil was almost about to break. "What are you drawing." Isak asked. "It's none of your business." She said while continued drawing, she didn't even look at him. The other kids in the class giggled at Isak and glared at him like he was some sort of joke. Isak knew he couldn't keep his smile anymore and just preceded to read in his book. "I am drawing a swan." The girl suddenly said. She as well knew the feeling of being mocked. Isak looked at her with a smile. "Swans are pretty." Isak replied. The girl nodded with a faint smile. "I am Isac, you must be Luna." The girl finely looked up from her notebooks and looked at him. She looked at him shocked like she had never been spoken to before. "Hi..." was the only thing that came out from her mouth.
