At the age of 26 my Hazel died. Her cancer finally got her. It's not that I'm extremely happy, but I missed her. Oh how I missed her. But as always, I looked down on her as she slept through the night-well till 3:23. That was when she died.
The wind was extremely fast that night so I had plenty of time to reach the Gates. And I saw her. In the crowd, her dark brown and beautiful hair was all over the place (the side-affect of sleep). She was wearing a dark green pyjama top and grey pants.
She, like I did when I died, looked around, confused and lost, at this place on the clouds. I pushed through the crowds until I was 7 feet away from her. I took another step. And another. And another. I took a deep breath to calm myself, but she heard it. Her eyes met mine, and I gave her a weak smile.
"Oh god." she said in a low voice, and she ran away.
"Wait, HAZEL!" I pushed through the international crowd until I saw her at the cloudy Barrier Wall which she was trying to push through.
"Hazel," I called softly. "Hazel, you can't get past that wall. Hazel Grace you listen to me right now!." She stopped banging and pushing the wall but didn't turn around.
"Augustus." she said. "Gus, am I dead?" I didn't say anything. I just took a step toward her and put my hands on her waist. She tensed.
"Ooooh okay I'm definitely not dreaming. So I'm dead. Great." She turned to face me and I saw tears flooding her beautiful eyes. We embraced in a soft hug. I couldn't help but say:
"Okay?"
"Okay." She answered.
WALL_FLOUR:
