Chapter 10

AN. Okay, so it's been a while since I last updated and I'm sorry. I'm so sorry that I'm going to, hopefully, update twice today.

Everyone was screaming and running for their lives when the heroes arrived on the scene. A family had just been frozen and the ghost teens' eyes flared a dangerous green at that.
The ghost teens growled and Batman turned to face them.
"Get them out of the ice." The cloaked teen nodded firmly and ran to the bystanders, Phantom not far behind him.
Robin looked at Batman and took the silent command to distract him. Batman's protégé threw a bird-a-rang at Freeze's gun to stop him from freezing anymore people.
Mr. Freeze was thrown off by the projectile, but was still standing.
"Batman," he started, "I was wondering when-" he was cut off by Robin's signature cackle. Reaper and Phantom both smirked as the last person was freed and got ready to join the fight.
Robin came from behind, using Mr. Freeze's helmet as a place to push off and flip in front of him. The ghost teens nodded to each other and blasted Mr. Freeze's back so he fell to the ground harder than he originally would have.
Robin smirked at them before throwing two more bird-a-rangs at the villain's helmet, cracking it.
"Oh, boy wonder and friends." He said getting up as Reaper and Phantom walked over to Robin, Reaper stepping on his helmet as he went. Robin snickered at that one.
"The Bat sent you to drag me off the prison." The boys crossed their arms and smirked at the man.
"Frankly I'm underwhelmed." He pointed his gun at them and Robin sighed.
"Great, but I'm kinda in a hurry." He said impatiently to Batman who was behind the ice villian.
"Yeah, we're on the clock." Reaper chimed, not actually talking to Freeze either as Phantom rolled his eyes.
"Kids, always in such a rush." Mr. Freeze said, powering up his weapon.
"Not talking to you." Robin responded.
Freeze's eyes widened and he turned around just in time to see Batman shoot up into the air and almost block the sun out with his cape. He punched straight through the cracked helmet and knocked Freeze out cold. (AN. Ice puns!😅)

Star City: July 4, 09:01 PDT
(AN. Same day as the Gotham attack. Just in case you haven't ever watched YJ.)

Icicle Jr came crashing down on the bridge and made an ice wall, causing people to crash and skid into each other, some cars flipping because of the impact. He laughed insanely, but stopped when he heard 5 arrows plunge into the ice wall he made while one went into his shoulder. The one in his shoulder exploded and knocked him into the other five.
Jr growled before smiling, "Finally! I was wondering what it took for a guy to get a little attention around here." He added more ice to his arms and threw it at the two archers at the top of the bridge.
"Jr is doing this for attention?" Speedy questioned Green Arrow as he shot the ice projectiles with his arrows. The rest came too fast for them to avoid so they ran for the suspension wires and ran across the top of them.
"I'm telling you now. This little distraction better not interfere." Speedy spat as he loaded another arrow, following behind his mentor.
Icicle Jr made another ice wall to stop the arrows from hitting him, letting out yell as did.
The arrows exploded and made a whole in the ice. Jr shot more ice at the archers, but Speedy jumped up before it could hit him. The red clad archer did a flip as he loaded his arrow, and shot it at his opponent. The arrow hit Jr's jaw and he flew back, hitting the ground, unconscious.
Green Arrow chuckled and turned to his side- (*gets a glare from Speedy and rolls eyes*) partner and says, "Kid had a glass jaw." Even with his mask on you could see that Speedy rolled his eyes.
"Ha, ha. Hilarious, can we go? Today's the day." He said seriously.

Pearl Harbor: July 4, 06:02 HTS

Killer Frost shot an ice blast at Aquaman and Aqualad as they flipped over the wreckage she caused.
When Aquaman got to the level Killer Frost was on she froze him in place. Aqualad flipped over the iced over orange clad man before running toward the female ice villian. Aquaman quickly broke free of his confines and started running after his partner. (*glares at Roy* Better? *gets nothing but a glare in response and rolls eyes again*)
"Don't tell me you aren't excited." Aquaman said, following his protégé.
"Right now my king, I'm more focused on the matter at hand." He replied, dodging more ice blasts from Killer Frost.
He jumped over a particularly powerful blast and used his power over water to make two medieval maces. Frost blasts the water and takes a step back from where the hero landed. Just as she gets ready to try and blast him again he throws the ice block that is trapping his hands up and hits her jaw. He broke the ice and knocked Killer Frost out cold. (AN. Same ice pun, but still good.)
"Well?" His mentor asks.
Aqualad smiles just a little, "Yes, I'm excited. Today'sthe day."

Central City: July 4, 11:03 CDT

Flash and Kid Flash run in circles around Captain Cold as they try to find a fast way to stop him and not get frozen in a black of ice. Cold keeps trying to shoot the heroes to no avail.
He grits his teeth and tries again as Flash passes him again.
"Stealing ice? Seriously? Isn't that a bit cliché even for Captain Cold?" Flash asks KF.
"Come on! We don't have time for this!" Kid Flash shouts as he puts on his goggles and runs toward Cold.
He just barely dodges another shot from his ice gun and takes the weapon away. Then, Flash comes up and knocks him out with a single punch.
"Calm down Kid." Flash said with his fists on his hips, smirking at the out cold villian. (STILL FUNNY!!)
"Oh please! You'll chat it up with the cops, the bystanders, with cold even! No way! Today's the day!" KF said with a grin, having already taken off his goggles.

Washington, D.C: July 4, 14:00 EDT

At the Hall of Justice Robin, Aqualad, and Speedy are all there with their mentors along with Reaper and Phantom.
"Who are they?" GA asked confusedly.
It was Reaper who answered, "Heroes from another dimension that was destroyed. I'm Reaper that's Phantom," he pointed to his mate, "and that's all you need to know." No one asked any questions after that.
"Today's the day." Batman stated with a smirk, setting a hand on Robin's shoulder and breaking the almost tangible tension.
Robin sent his mentor a grin.
"Welcome to the Hall of Justice." GA began.
"Headquarters of the Justice League." Aquaman finsihed, looking at the building with his hands on his hips.
"Aw, man!" Kid Flash said as Flash stopped behind the group of heroes. Flash raised a brow.
"I knew we would be the last ones here!" He said as he huffed and crossed his arms.
Phantom laughed a little, "You have super speed! How are you the last to show?" KF grumbled as the ghost boys laughed and walked behind the other heroes.

Reporters were there and they questioned who each hero was, especially Reaper and Phantom.
When asked who they were, they told their names and nothing more. Reaper had his hood pulled up like usual, hiding his face as it flushed a little. Phantom chuckled and elbowed him when they got to the front door. Martian Man Hunter greeted them and Kid Flash said that he was a little overwhelmed.
"Freeze was underwhelmed, you're overwhelmed. Why isn't anyone ever just whelmed?" Robin asked quietly.
When the doors opened all the way, statues of all seven first members could be seen.
Reaper tapped Robin's shoulder as the young hero's eyes widened under his mask, "Maybe that's why." Robin nodded and went inside. (You know what the room looks like so I won't bother with that.)

Small time skip...

After Roy told Robin, Aqualad, and Kid Flash they weren't ready and told Phantom and Reaper they didn't deserve to be there the Leaguers left, having an important mission. Unfortunately for the Leaguers, the young heroes now knew about Project Cadmus.
"It would be poetic justice." Aqualad mused. Reaper grinned at Phantom and the white haired teen smirked with a nod.
"Hey, they're all about justice!" Robin cackled.
KF turned him around and grabbed his shoulders, "Are you talking about going to Cadmus? If you're going I'm going!" They looked at Aqualad, Phantom, and Reaper.
"We are so in! I've been getting a little antsy." Reaper said.
Aqualad looked at them, "That's it? Just like that we're a team?"
"Yup!" Phantom laughed, floating on his stomach with his head laying on his arms as if he were on a flat surface.
He sighed, "Let's go." With that they ran/flew out of the room toward Cadmus.

When they got there the firefighters were taking care of the blaze and scientists were trapped inside. An explosion occured and the scientists fell, but KF caught them just in time.
