Chapter Five

I went inside our house and there I saw my Father and Mother, sitting comfortably with Sheena and Veniece.

"Mom, Dad. What are you doing here? Kailan pa kayo nakauwi galing New York?" They stood up, I gave them a peck on their cheeks.

"We're paying you ladies a visit and we just arrived." Mom said.

"Why didn't you call me?" I asked.

"We wanted to surprise you. But I only saw Veniece and Sheena, and I didn't know Sheena is back, how are you, Sweetie?" Mom asked Sheena.

"I'm fine, Tita. Kayo po?" Sheena asked back.

"Still dancing! Oh! I have another surprise for you, ladies. Dad give it to them." Mom said.

Dad gave us a pink envelope. Of course we opened it and we all have the same reaction.

"A ticket to America!?" We all said in unison.

Okay, it's not like I can't buy this. I can buy myself a ticket. I'm just shocked because, I didn't expect it.

"Yes!" Masiglang sabi ni Mommy. Akala ko ba pissed sya? Tss.

"Your Mother and I bought you a house in Forks." Dad said.

"Why? We still have our house in Seattle." I said.

"It's a gift. You're turning twenty one, Sweetie!" Mom said.

I almost rolled my eyes at my mother.

"Cool! We can have a vacation there, Meggy!" Sheena said.

"Shut up. August pa lang! Gosh!" I said.

"Kill Joy!" Sheena and Veniece said.

I just rolled my eyes at them.

"Mom, Dad. I don't need a house. I want my boutique in New York to expand." I said.

"Oh! We already expanded that." Dad said.

"Really?" I asked.

Nag-iipon pa ako ng pang expand doon eh! Gosh!

"Yes, honey." Dad said.

"Oh! Thank you! One of the best birthday gift ever!" I said then hugged them.

"So, are we gonna go to Seattle!?" Sheena asked, excited.

I rolled my eyes at her and sigh on defeat.

"Fine, we're going." I said.

"Yes!" Veniece and Sheena jumped and jumped and jumped in the living room.

My Parents had dinner with us in our house, we talked about so many things.

"Wait! Meggy kailan tayo mag A-america?" Sheena asked.

"Next month." I plainly said.

"What!? Ang tagal pa nun! Bukas nalang!" Veniece said.

"No! Wednesday lang bukas no!" I said.

Why are they so eager to go there? It's like our hometown, duh. Nothing's new in America. Still full of white asses. Also, I don't want to travel yet, not until I have Alistair in my beautiful palms.

"So what!?" Veniece and Sheena said.

"May klase." Palusot ko.

"Wooo! Gusto mo lang pumasok kasi nandoon si ano eh!" Veniece teased.

"May boyfriend ka?" Dad asked.

I sighed. "Yes, Dad." I said.

"Well, we want to meet him!" Mom said.
