Is this what being dead feels like? Nat understands now, why people call it "rest in peace" when someone dies. It's peaceful and quiet where Nat is right now. No rough sounds of traffic, no people kicking her, no sleeping in the cold anymore. She's not starving anymore, probably because she doesn't feel anything. She feels one thing though. A feeling inside, a wonderful one.
There's no need thinking about the parents who left her on the streets, Nat wants to leave that behind. Those memories are holding her from going completely in to this new life(death) in peace. She has to let those painful memories go. There's one thing she has to do before she lets go completely though. She wants to wish something.
Let me stay here forever....
