Allen

I don't believe in supernatural beliefs, paranormal activities or any kind of stuff. I am just a nineteen years old guy who is happy with its life. I am Allen Monte who is from Lake city and was transferred in East Top which is a province. It is not that I like to be transferred here but I don't have a choice. In our culture with these age we cannot live on our own. We are still dependent to our parents or guardian which is the one supporting us to finish college.

Since my grandma died and she is the one who is looking after me, my dad, who is always out of town doing business trip, decided that I must stay with my Uncle Danny, his brother and only sibling. It's not that I have grudges in what he is doing, but I have become used of it. But what I am thankful of is that he always knew if I have problems and talk to me about it and he is always there whenever there is special occasions.

Anyway, this is my second time to be with Uncle Danny. The last time that I have visited him was when I was 10 years old.

In East Top life is simple. People are friendly, hospitable and most of all they know each other. Unlike in the city, they don't care who you are. Here, they know who is who and what they do. Especially in Uncle Danny's town Malaya. When we visited a snack house everyone greeted me as if they already knew that I am coming.

"Sorry," Uncle Danny all could say when aunt Jessica just greeted me. He knew I am not used of it."News spread like wild fire here,"

"It's okay," I replied while looking at aunt Jessica whose eyes are all on Uncle Danny,"Actually It's cool."

He smiled in reply

Uncle Danny is single until now. Though he is already forty five years old. I can see most of the women in town has a liking to him. Ever since, when I last visited him I didn't see him with a woman.

I arrived two weeks before the enrollment so Uncle Danny decided we go fishing in a brook. On that day we left early as five am.

"Do you see that buildings over there with trees and benches" he pointed t o the other mountain near the town which has tall trees, benches a pool and the huge football field .The sun is already setting in the sky. "That's where I work as a chief guard in that school and you are going there," pointing at me.

"Is that a football field?" asking him just making sure

"Uhmm" he answered while we went back on climbing to towards the brook.

"Whoa! That's huge. The largest I saw in my entire life,"

"And that's why I suggested to your dad that you must enroll there coz I heard you like playing football and you are a varsity on your previous school,"

I smiled. This place will never be boring after all, I told myself. And there was silence.

He breathed deeply and turned to me" You know what, your dad doesn't have any liking into sports, unlike me of course. He is mostly into books. That's why I am wondering you might gotten the hobbies from me,"

"Really? I didn't know that. We seldom talk about himself,"

"Here's the place," he said, changing the topic when we arrived at the brook, while taking off his back pack." What do you think?"

"Whoa! Cool," I replied in amazement. This is the first time I have seen such a place. The water that runs in the brook is very clear that you can see the large stones and fishes! It's really inviting you to swim in it.
