It was a bright sunny day in Shepardstown, Kentucky. I was at School, when a new boy walked into the classroom. He had Short brown hair, and blue eyes. He was wearing a striped shirt, with a red shirt tucked under, Black pants, and wore glasses. He walked in and sat right next to me, he smelt like mens cologne. He was tall for being in the eighth grade.
"Um...Can I sit here?" Grayson asked. As I nodded my head I replied.
"Yeah!"
"What's your name?" He asked me.
" it's Kate, what's yours?"
"Grayson. That's a really pretty name." He added.
Mr. Smith then walked into the classroom with her bright pink dress and black flip flops, with her hair pulled into a pony tail.
"Alright kiddos." She said.
"Today we are going to learn how to turn a negative exponent into a positive exponent."
I looked out of the corner of my eye and saw him staring at me smiling. I finally looked over at the right moment and caught him staring at me, he started blushing and wrote down the notes on the smart board.
The next couple of days were normal, go to school , get home, do homework, finish chores etc. But the next week felt a little different. I grew closer and closer to Grayson, getting to know him more and more by the second.
