New Recruits

Jaime and Willow examined the backyard, while Bart zoomed around the house, checking for any trace of Artemis.

"Guys! Get in here!" Bart yelled as he cornered a girl.

The two headed inside.

A girl in a red hoodie glanced at them shyly, hoping they would start a conversation.

"Who are you?" Jaime asked calmly. He pushed Bart aside and got on his knees, "what are you doing in here?"

"I'm Arrowette," the 12 year old replied toughly.

The three exchanged some glances.

"Good or bad?" Willow quickly asked.

"Good. I saw you on TV, I know you're good too."

"Arrowette? That's your name?"

"No. That's my hero name. My real names Cissie."

"Your new to this hero-thing, aren't you?" Bart asked, "Cause normally you don't just reveal your name to someone you've never seen."

"I am new. Tonight is my first night of doing this," Cissie glanced at them shyly, "I wanted to find Artemis, and well, talk to her, archer to archer."

"Huh?" Jaime asked.

"Artemis trained me as an archer."

"When did you meet her?" Bart asked.

"A long time ago. It was merely a glimpse, but she saved me from a big and bad man."

"Oh... You were a victim."

"Yeah. My Mom forced me to train first, but then I ran away and lived with Artemis, who trained me with a bow."

"So you know her," Jaime concluded.

Cissie nodded.

"I see what you two are thinking," Jaime joked, "let's just bring her to Aqualad first."

The three headed back to Mount Justice, to immediately be brought in to a dying Cassie and an unconscious alien.

"WHOA!" Bart yelled as he ran over to Cassie and kneeled down, "what happened?"

"That alien over there hit her with an omega beam."

"Oh no... Big bad Darksied... What a jerk."

"Actually, one of his henchman," Virgil responded.

Willow, Jaime and Cissie ran over and came to her aid as well.

"Cassie!" Willow worried as she came over to test her stomach, "oh god."

Cissie walked over, "Everyone move!"

She took two arrows from her quiver and activated them.

"Taser," Tim smiled.

She shocked Cassie, and Cassie immediately awoke.

"Whoa!" Cassie sat up quickly and fell off the couch. Tim say her up slowly and hugged her.

"Thank god you're okay," Tim relieved himself and hugged Cassie tight.

Bart glanced at Cissie, "Nice job."

Cissie smiled and nodded, "Uh, here's the thing. Artemis has been training a couple other people... So if we could maybe let them join too..."

The Team again exchanged some looks, but they accepted and Bart went with her to retrieve the other heroes-in-training.

The two arrived with a full group in about an hour. As of then, Bargirl's squad had returned and had relaxed themselves.

As of right now the only squad still out is Alpha.

"Now we've stolen the ingredients!" La'gann cheered, "And, now I wanna say, well, bye."

Everyone looked at him curiously.

"M'gann was the reason I was here, because, no one wants me here. Now that M'gann and I broke up, I'm going back to Atlantis to be with my mentor and Tempest."

The Team didn't have a response, but they understood.

Slowly, one by one, the Team said goodbye to Lagoon Boy.

"Bye everyone," Lagoon Boy repeated as he headed out.

"Lagoon Boy, B18," the Zeta Tube repeated after him.

The Team stood for a minute, then turned to Artemis' new trainees.

"Hi. I'm Starfire," Starfire smiled, "people from my planet call me Koriand'd, but you can call my Kori."

"Alien, huh? That's a new one," Tim joked.

"I'm Red Devil," a teenage-demon said.

"That's all?" Cassie asked curiously.

"I don't really know my past," he remarked, "I know I had a life before this. I made a deal with the devil, and I got turned into this. But... That's all I remember."

"I'm Victor Stone. A Cyborg. My Dad was conducting experiments and I got infected. He gave me this suit of armor to allow me to stay alive," he told the Team.

"Rose Wilson," a girl with an eyepatch told them, "assassin, daughter of Deathstroke, and I'm invincible."

The Team became a bit nervous of her, but they continued.

One thing I will mention everyone, is I didn't include Raven in this group because she is part of an important plot with Beast Boy later on. :D

"I'm Fiona Reyes," the last girl in line said.

"Reyes?" Jaime asked shockingly.

"I'm you and Willow's daughter from the future," she said, "Red Beetle."

Jaime and Willow stared at each other blankly.

Bart looks at her in anger, "I thought you died!" He yelled angrily, "Inertia killed you!"

"No. I escaped his grasp. He thinks he killed me, but instead I ran to this time, took the scarab and ended up joining Artemis' trainees Team."

"You... You made Jaime evil!" Bart yelled in frustration, "he turned because you died!"

Fiona looked at him guiltily.

Bart stormed out of the tower.

"Bart!" Jaime called after him as he quickly followed behind him.

"Kid Flash, B23. Blue Beetle, B22," the Zeta Tube repeated after them.
