Keep running! Keep running! I screamed at myself.
His sinister laugh echoed around me. "You can run my love but you can't hide" his voice said.
I turn down an alley way beside an abandoned warehouse and hide behind one of the dumpsters, trying to regain my breath.
"I can see you my love, I know where you are" he laughed.
A spark of fear and another emotion I didn't recognise shoot up my spine like an electric current. I shudder.
"Oh love, why do you run from me so? I know you want me, so why run? Why deny what the fates have already set in stone?" he said.
I hear footsteps at the far end of the alley way. My heartbeat speeds up as the steps get closer, as the unmistakable crushing of stones beneath heavy boots get louder.
"Why hello there" he said.
I scream!!
He's finally found me.
