"I just got a date!" Penelope exclaimed to the team, who were sitting at their desks doing paperwork. "They are on their way here to pick me up!" she squealed.
"Congratulations!" Half the team shouted, hugging her.
"Where'd you meet?" David asked.
"Well last week I was in an internet cafe, doing my usual when they came over and complimented my coding skills. We sat for hours talking and we exchanged numbers. After texting for the past week, they asked me out!" she smiled.
"That sounds fantastic." Emily smiled.
"So who's the lucky guy?" Derek asked. That's when Penelope went silent, and bright red.
"That's the thing." Penelope laughed nervously.
"What?" Derek laughed. The rest of the team had caught on by now, and laughed at Derek's stupidity. They knew he'd have no problem, he was just a bit slow.
"They happen to be...a lucky girl." Penelope smiled.
"I didn't know you liked girls as well." Derek said.
"Well." But before Penelope could continue, her phone started to ring, playing 'She keeps me warm, loudly. She answered the call, embarrassed by her ringtone.
"Hello sweetheart." she smiled.
There was a moment on silence.
"You just got into the elevator!" Penelope gasped.
"Okay yes see you in a few." Penelope hung up.
"Okay do I look good? Is my makeup fine? Is my outfit too much! Oh god it is! I knew it!" Penelope panicked. JJ laughed and pulled her into a hug. "You look fine Penelope." she smiled.
"Thank you." Penelope smiled.
Suddenly, you walked in. With your H/L, H/C hair. You were wearing a red dress to your knees with tights and black wedges. "There she is." gasped Penelope, as she watched you walk over to the team. You were clearing nervous, you could see it on your face.
"This is the team." Penelope smiled, introducing you one by one.
"Y/N, This is David, Aaron, Derek, Spencer, JJ and Emily. Guys, this is Y/N." Penelope smiled.
"Nice to meet you," you smiled shyly.
"So what are you two planning for your first date?" JJ smiled.
"Well I can't say." you smiled. "It's a surprise for Penelope. However, all I can tell you is what I told her. I can play the guitar and there's a real nice place in town."
"That sounds so romantic!" Emily and JJ squealed.
"What time is your reservation?" David asked.
"10pm." you smiled. "We actually have to leave in five minutes."
The whole team smiled at you both. "Are you ready?" you asked Penelope.
"Yes. Let me just grab my bag." she smiled.
"Don't go and apply more makeup!" you shouted to her as she entered her room. "You look beautiful already!"
The whole team stared in aw, at you.
Derek stood and walked over to you. "You'll take care of her, right?" Derek asked.
"Of course. You have my word." you replied. "Wanna know something?"
"What?" Derek asked.
"I think I love her."
