Chapter 2
I rolled onto my side the gold trim quilt soft and comfy, the morning light, pouring in from the balconys open doors, the cool breeze making the curtains move lightly, in a wave motion. I heard a voice out on the balcony and instantly knew it was Alexander's, I decided I'd join him, first I pulled on some pants so I wasn't in just my oversized men's band tee. As I walked over toward the doors I heard him arguing with someone but there wasn't a reply, he was on his phone. I looked around the expensive room, there were three beds in one area, mine being the biggest, and a small apartment kitchen that was opposite a small couch and tv. I saw a door near the furthest bed and realised it was the bathroom when the sound of the shower and my brother's awful singing finaly sunk in.
"Morning sunshine", I jumped a little at the sound of Alexander's voice, as I turned around I didn't realize how close he was and took a step back so I could look him in the eye. He was fairly tall and I didn't want to have to crane my neck, plus it was kinda awkward being so close to him.
"Morning, want some breakfast?", I asked walking toward the kitchen.
"Sure", He said as he combed his fingers through his messy black shoulder length hair. As I finished up the bacon and eggs Kyle finally finished his shower and singing thank God!
"SHOWERS FREE!", He yelled from the other room. Soon he was sitting on a stool in front of the marble top bench, stuffing his face as his wet hair dripped everywhere. I finished my breakfast quickly so I could have a shower, once I was done in the shower I blow dried my long, blonde hair and put on some eyeliner and mascara, I left the bathrom to Alexander and got dressed. I had decided on a pair of acid wash black skinny jeans and a proper fitting band singlet.
"Have you seen my deoderant?", I turned around to see Alexander leaning in the doorframe of the bathroom with a towel wrapped low around his hips. I felt my cheecks go hot and I turned back to what I was doing.
"No, sorry", I said as I kept searching for my sketch book.
I turned thinking that he had retreated to the bathroom to go out onto the balcony, but when I turned he was still there leaning over his bag. His hair long and soaked still dripping with water, clung to his forehead in places and his chest was pale but had a few tattoos the most obvious was one along his ribs it was a graphic of blades ripping through the skin, I found it very distracting as I tried to avoid the akwardness of the situation. I couldn't complain about the veiw but I had to leave.
"I'll be on the balcony if you need anything", I said as I left the room in a rush. I stepped onto the balcony and the cool breeze was refreshing, it was quiet too since Kyle decided to go to the down stairs casino since it was his first time in Vegas after all. I got out a pencil and sat down on the lawn chair that was next to the sauna and began to sketch, as I did so I felt like I was being watched, I mean it felt like someone was just standing beside me and glaring at me. Shivers began up and down my spine, I got back inside and flung myself onto the couch I sat up and thought about everything that had happened in yesterdays events, I began to cry hysterically when I remembered we wern't just on a normal roadtrip, I was running for my life.
I was still crying hysterically when I felt a pair of strong warm arms pull me into Alex's chest, "shh, it's alright, shh", he said warmly, lovingly. I calmed down to the point of just a few tears when I looked up into Alexander's deep, brown eyes. I felt his warm mint breath brush past my cheek as he looked into my eyes.
"Alexander, I'm scared. Not just for me but for you and Kyle, maybe we should give up?", I said as more of a question than anything else.
"No!", He said sternly,"don't even think like that. Natasha you have to realize that if you die your just another one crossed off his list, he was clearly a hit man, nobody would just choose a random girl and plan to kill them without even knowing their name and leaving the others alive. After you'd die he'd just be hired again and again to kill innocent people one after the other, we can't let that happen to you, I won't let that happen to you...", He trailed off as I got lost in his eyes. before I realized what was happening he had leant down and was gently yet passionately kissing me. His single lip piercing was cool and surprisingly pleasent against my lips, we moved our lips in unison together as he slowley replaced his masculine arms around my waist, I put one hand on his shoulder and the other I used to play with the long sleek black hair at the back of his head. Reluctantly I began to pull away letting the hair i had be combed between my fingers, as I did so he looked down at me fromhis great height, even from sitting down he was taller by a lot.
"I'm s-sorry", he stuttered, "I was stupid for doing that. I mean your my friends little sister...", I felt a sinking feeling inside when he called me his 'friends little sister'.
"NO.. That's not what I meant", he said seeing the hurt in my facial expression, I got up and grabbed my purse and keys from the counter top and headed for the door as I held the tears back that I felt wellig up.
"Wait. Where are you going?", He asked concerned.
"To look for Kyle", I said simply and added, "don't wait up."
