A/N: Sooo I wrote this fic about two months ago, but then life got in the way before I could finish it. I forgot about it entirely until like a week ago and then randomly decided to complete it! I know I'm very late since this fic takes place in September but hopefully you enjoy it anyways! :)

"Why do you look so dejected over there, Scotty?"

Scott instantly recognized the familiar, playful sounding voice as Esther's. He allowed himself to look up from where he was staring at his lap pouting. "Mitch isn't paying any attention to me," he whined in response.

Scott could see Mitch roll his eyes from across the couch they were both sitting on together, but otherwise he didn't even so much as look in Scott's direction. Instead, he simply continued to type away on his phone like he had been ever since they'd disappeared backstage after their show tonight ended. If Scott wasn't afraid that Mitch would kill him, then he definitely would've stolen said phone and thrown it across the room by now.

But Scott really didn't want to die before he even turned twenty five, so instead he'd spent the past thirty minutes of his life trying to harass Mitch into finally paying attention to him, to no avail.

He knew he could probably occupy himself doing something else. He had plenty of fan letters and gifts he could sort through that he'd gotten at the meet and greet that day, and there were tons of other crew and band members wandering around backstage that he could go talk to until they were finally allowed to leave the venue.

He really didn't want to do any of those things, though. He just wanted Mitch to pay attention to him already.

"Aww. Mitchell, why don't you put down Tinder already and hang out with Scott," Esther suggested. "He's looking awfully pathetic."

Mitch scoffed indignantly.

"Thank you," Scott replied smugly, despite the fact that Esther had already left the room as quickly as she'd entered it. He didn't even mind the minor insult, he was just glad to be validated. "Is that what you've actually been doing over there the whole time?" he added after a pause, wrinkling his nose.

"No," Mitch sighed, finally sliding his phone back into the pocket of his jeans.

Scott raised his arms up in celebration at the disappearance of his phone.

"I've actually been talking to a specific boy, if you must know."

The corners of Scott's lips instantly twisted downwards. He dropped his arms and raised his eyebrows instead. "Who, someone here in Melbourne?" he guessed. "We're leaving for New Zealand tonight," he reminded him.

It wasn't that he didn't approve of Mitch having hook ups.

Well–

Regardless of whether he approved or not, it wasn't like he was one to prevent them from happening, at the very least. But they didn't exactly have time for Mitch to meet up with some random tonight when they needed to make it to the airport.

"No," Mitch answered, "He's from LA."

"LA?" Scott questioned him, looking obviously confused.

"Yeah. The city that we've lived in for the past five years now?"

"I know where LA is," Scott replied, his voice serious. He was still too confused to reply in the mock-offended way that Mitch was probably expecting. "Why are you talking to someone in LA? We're kind of in Australia right now, and I know you're hot but I don't think anyone is take a 15 hour flight just for a one night stand hot."
