The star had made a massive crater in the middle of the forest. It was no longer on fire so Moon assumed it was safe to touch.
"What do you think it is?" Shard asked. She look up at the curious hedgehog who was now moving closer to the strange object which had crashed in front of them. Shard grabbed her arm and pulled her back violently as if she was about to fall off a cliff.
"Don't go near that thing you don't know what it's going to do to you."
Moon laughed, "The energy beam didn't kill us so what harm could a rock do? Hey look!"
She pointed in the sky to shining red gem on top of the star. A Chaos Emerald."I found a Chaos Emerald! I need that thing now, with that I can use Chaos Control!"
Moon walked towards the Chaos Emerald which was floating high on top of the shooting star. Shard stayed back near the trees for safety. While she was waiting for Moon to get to the rock, Shard heard a rustling in the bush behind her. She turned around to see if there was anyone watching them. When she went behind to look, there was nothing there just sticks and snow.
Moon touched the large rock which was imbedded into the ground. It was cold and hard like ice however it wasn't smooth like ice. She looked up to the top taking in how large it was.
"I need to find a way to get onto this massive rock. Any ideas Shard?"
Shard thought for a moment then, reached into her bag and pulled out a silver and blue grappling hook. She waved it in the air.
"Try using this it might help!" Shard skipped over to Moon and gave her the grapple hook. She shot the hook over to the top of the rock and pulled herself up one step at a time. Eventually she got to the top of the rock, the view was fantastic, she could see the whole forest and in the distance, Shard's castle. She raised a thumbs up to her blue friend who was jumping up and down at the bottom of the rock.
"Let's get this Chaos emerald now." Moon reached up on to her tip toes to try and get the red Chaos Emerald. It seemed too high for her to reach but she wasn't prepared to fail. Suddenly, there was a rumbling in the ground making Shard and Moon lose their balance.
