Bandit found Alice's body an hour after she woke up. Without crying or vomiting or feeling the urge to get drunk or high or both, she got in the only car left at Safe House and drove herself down the the asylum on the other side of town. She quietly admitted herself and didn't protest when they locked her up. She didn't protest when they buzzed off all her hair. She didn't protest when they dressed her in white sweats and a white t-shirt. She obediently told the doctors about her schizophrenia and her suicidal friend and her trans friend and gay friend and, well, all her messed up friends. She obediently told the doctors about the scars and fresh barbed wire wounds. She obediently told the doctors about Ada and Annie and the Hell Hounds and Samantha and everything. She didn't fight as they locked her in a soundproof room. In fact, she was grateful.

Finally, she was at peace.

Two months passed without any evidence on where Bandit went. Glitch and Thomason gave up on hunting her and hunting the Horsemen and hunting Jemma--who had supposedly returned to her School of Evil--and hunting Gabriel.

Their wedding took place in a nice cathedral in Baton Rogue. They only invited old high school friends and friends from Fortuna. It was perhaps the smallest wedding of all time, but they were happy.

During the reception, Glitch told their circus friends about his new idea for Fortuna--they would change the colors and make it more magical and more reality-defying. Thomason said that he would only work there if he could be the magician. Glitch didn't hesitate to say yes.

A few hours into the reception, Glitch decided to get out an old ouija board. He and Thomason sat down across from each other, the other people watching, all half-drunk.

Thomason put his hands on the pointer first. As soon as Glitch put his on, the pointer moved. At first, Glitch's stomach sank, horrified that it was Ada again. But, instead of flying to the letter A, the pointer moved to N.

Then it moved to O

Then I

Then R

Then it stopped.

"Noir?" Asked Glitch in a hushed voice, so their drunk friends wouldn't hear. "Isn't that French for Black?" Thomason nodded and took his fingers off the pointer.

And then, somewhere miles away, a cross upon a hill started blinking and a dark spirit slipped into a sleeping body

and Noir woke up.
