The earth was pink diamond's colony everything was going well at first many quartzes was made perfectly then bam! Her own quartz soldier F.Y.I rose quartz started a rebellion and took it too far and then shatter pink diamond this made the diamonds and homeworld mad at her, homeworld planned to shatter her too
So blue diamond was continuing what pink diamond worked at this colony, during at the sky arena blue diamond ordered her court gems to go to earth along with sapphire with her 3 ruby guards then sapphire was called by blue diamond to tell her what will happen then she said my diamond I can see that the rebels will attack the sky arena and destroying the physical forms of some gems and my 2 ruby guards and myself after my form is destroyed the rebels will be captured.
After what happened her future that she said to blue diamond failed and she fused with one ruby.
Then sapphire fused with 1 ruby and they fused into garnet and joined the rebellion AKA crystal gems.
