Farrah -a poem ♥
I met this girl downtown
And asked her what her name was
She wore a broken frown
And said that it was Farrah.
She held my hand so tightly
She knew I was alone too
Tears dripped down lightly
And then I really knew.
Her life was worse than mine
More complicated than most
She said she wanted to shine
To let her life just coast.
Her mom died at the age of five
And her dad was even worse
She's happy that she's alive
Her life's been very terse.
Her brother has bad cancer
She can't do anything for him
She wanted just one answer
Her tears were on the brim.
Her house is non-existent
She lives on the streets out here
Her life's really bent
She's been out here for years.
Sometimes people stare
And maybe feel a little bad
She doesn't think it's fair
Farrah wants her dad.
He helped her through everything
And now he's not so well
It always leaves a little sting
It seems her life has fell.
She still cries
While we're hand in hand
She has bright red eyes
As I still try to stand.
I say sorry for her troubles
I have nothing else to do
I let go, my feelings double
I now have a different view.
I met this girl downtown
And asked her what her name was
She wore a broken frown
And said that it was Farrah.
