Sorry, I didn't mean to be so rude, you are all beautiful people, not motherfuckers. Maybe it won't be as graphic as I pictured idfk ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Patient 143 drifted off into a state of being neither awake or asleep, he stayed like this for an immeasurable amount of time until what appeared to be a large insect crawled in front of his face. 143, obviously quite startled by the sudden appearance of this creature, fell off the bed onto the cold, hard floor. 143 groaned loudly, shocked at his own stupidity.
It's just a bug you fucking idiot.
143 scolded himself mentally then proceeded to stumble to his feet, only then he realised that a nurse-looking woman was standing in the doorway. In all honesty 143 thought she looked rather daft.
"Are you alright, sir?"
What the fuck does it look like woman?
The woman looked slightly offended, 143 considered that he may have thought out loud again and looked apologetically at the woman. She seemed to understand the notion and held out a tray of food. It was at that moment that 143 registered how hungry he really was, he hadn't eaten anything since he arrived. The woman gave him the tray and observed him quietly as he wolfed down all the food.
"Need anything else, sir?"
143 nods without hesitation, he needed answers. "Where am I?" As that was obviously very important.
"Lynda Vista Mental Hospital."
Lynda Vista...where has he heard that name before.
"Sir-"
"Stop calling me Sir..." 143 mumbled impatiently.
"Oh, well anyway, be sure to not mistake this place for Linda Vista Hospital, L-I-N-D-A, ya know, the one that is abandoned and allegedly haunted"
So that's where he had heard it from. 143 sighed and handed the tray back over to the woman, she looked satisfied with her helpfulness.
"Rose. That's my name. I just started working here today, I'm glad they assigned me to you, you don't seem as violent as some of the patients here."
143 smiled for the first time since he woke up, she seemed so genuine. He held out his hand for Rose to shake it. Rose was unsure of the gesture at first, but decided to shake the man's hand firmly.
"Nice meeting you Rose, and thanks for the meal."
"No problem." Rose smiled kindly and waved, then closed the door and left the room hurriedly.
143 glanced over at his bed, the insect was gone, he looked around the floor. Still no insect. 143 thought nothing of it and walked over to a small mirror in the cell, which he found ridiculous, what if a patient were to break the glass and harm themselves. 143 tried to fix his messy black hair, which was utterly pointless since he obviously wasn't going anywhere soon, he yearned for a razor as he inspected the slight stubble growing on his face.
143 sighed as he turned around, and to his utter shock saw a cockroach about the same size as him crawling steadily toward him, it's thick, hairy antennae twitching, 143 felt a foul bile rising in his throat, after he had managed to force it down the cockroach had vanished.
What the fucking fuck.
It took a moment for 143 to get his heart rate back to a normal speed, other than that he was completely unharmed. After getting back grip on reality 143 decided that he was simply sleep deprived and that was the cause of the vivid hallucination. He figured it'd be best to try and sleep, so he walked carefully back to his bed and lay there, staring blankly at the ceiling for what seemed like decades until he eventually dozed off into a deep sleep.
Author's note: Hey guys hope you enjoyed this chapter! I certainly didn't because I had to search up pictures of cockroaches to find a particular thing about it to describe causing me to almost throw my laptop away from me because I thought I'd puke.
