The howls of the animal chasing after her were loud indicating that they weren't that far behind.

It took only an hour for an animal to smell blood. And it took only seconds for her to comprehend the situation as her bags were thrown aside

Her legs were screaming for her stop and rest so they remove the lactic acid building up her muscles, but she refused and continued to run. She pushed aside branches and brush, some of them slashing her face and caused small lines of blood to form on her already cut face. She continued to run, only to skid to a halt when one of the animals appeared in front of her as it came out of the brush.

The animal was a large black wolf with shining yellow eyes sharp teeth covered with saliva to indicate its want for food, were shown in its jaws. The wolf howled before jumping at her.

The exhausted fire mage took a right, avoiding the wolf as it smacked straight into a tree. She continued to run as she ducked underneath a branch before crawling underneath a large tree root. She grabbed onto a vine and swung over a rather large mud puddle, but a pair wolves were still on her tail. Their powerful leg muscles allowing them to easily keep up with her.

It was then that the girl realized they were just toying with her. Playing with their food.

She was about to make a sharp left to try and escape them, but then another wolf appeared out of the foliage and knocked her to the ground. She rolled along the grass covered earth before she twisted to the right to avoid the pounce from a second wolf. In desperation, she lashed out with a kick. Her 'new' black boots smacked into the wolf's muzzle causing it to yelp in pain. She saw her opportunity and got back up and was about to make a break for it when a fourth wolf jumped out from behind a tree.

"Oh come on! Another one!" Mira Shouted in annoyance and fear.

The canines growled as they cornered her. She was backed up against a tree. The black furred canines were growling, saliva dripping from their mouths in anticipation to finally feast.

She shivered a bit as the wolves closed in on her.

Her left ankle was definitely broken. Her legs felt dead.
Her arms still had gashes from the previous attack, having unbearable pain.
She was drained of her fire abilities.
She was helpless.

Filled to the brim with fear and she did the only thing she could do in her tired state. She screamed.

The scream was loud enough to cause the wolves to clutch their ears in pain. They shook their heads to remove the ringing sound that currently filled their ears before returning to their meal. The girl gulped However, she was not met with blinding pain and the sound of flesh torn off of bone...well not her flesh.

The girl suddenly heard a multitude of yelps and barks before the sound of flesh being sliced was heard.

She he turned around only to meet a tall young man. He had a long worn-out black cloak covering the rest of his body that resonated with the strongest magic aura that Mira has ever felt in her life. At that moment, Mira felt nothing inside her. Only fear.

The cloaked man pulled a large sword with a simple black and silver handle as he drew his sword with his right hand, ready to face down them. The remaining beasts right arm soared towards hers claw ready to strike. The cloaked man, with a swift slash of his blade, appeared behind the second wild beast. Suddenly, several cuts appeared on the body , and it fell to the ground as Mira turned to him with looks of astonishment.

Blood dropped from the blade onto his hands as she witnessed the mysterious man jump and stabbed a huge pack leader wolf in seconds.

Mira turned around. The man's hood was on the ground, giving Mira a chance to truly look at him. Lean and a bit muscular. He had heavy jet black shaggy hair and piercing grey eyes with surprisingly red pupils that had an animalistic light to them. She could also see that his canines resembled fangs more so than regular teeth. He was wearing a black muscle shirt with grey baggy jeans.
