To Move On

"ARE YOU SURE?" Ate Ivine ask Welcy while fixing her pillow so that Welcy can sit comfortably in the bed.

Welcy smile and nod to the latter. "Yes, ate. Thanks. This is comfortable."

"Okay. Lalabas muna ako para kunin ang pagkain mo-"

"Ate," pigil niya rito.

"Bakit?"

"Pwedeng mamaya na? I'm still full," aniya.

Tiningnan nito ang relo sa bedside table niya bago ibinalik ang tingin sa kanya.

"Oras na ng pag-inom ng gamot mo eh. Hindi pwedeng walang laman ang tiyan mo," wika nito.

"Haa! Bingo! I knew hindi na naman kakain ang magandang pasyente."

Napalingon sila sa nagsalita at nakita niya si JD na nasa pinto na ng kwarto niya habang bit bit ang tray ng pagkain.

"Ayan, baka kapag si JD ang nagsabi eh kakain ka," sabi ni Ate Ivine at saka umirap.

Natawa ng mahina si Welcy. Nagpaalam ang una na lalabas na muna ito. Alam niyang bibigyan sila nito ng oras sa isat-isa.

JD sat in her bed, facing her after placing the tray down the bedside table. He then planted a soft kiss on the top of her head , as if afraid to hurt her.

Hindi naman mapigilan ni Welcy na ngumiti habang ginagawa iyon ng nobyo.

JD is just so sweet, and she could not do anything about it but love him more because of that.

Tiningnan niya ito habang hinahaplos nito ang sugat niya sa kamay dahil sa pagkakatali niya noon sa lubid.

He sigh and then shook his head. Welcy smile as she press his hand gently. He look up and their eyes met.

"What?" he ask.

"I know what you're thinking."

Hindi ito sumagot. Umiling na lang ito at saka yumuko. Ngumiti ng magaan si Welcy at hinawakan niya ang pisngi nito.

"I'm okay. They're healing," she said and smile at him.

"Wala ka sana ng mga niyan. Its all my fault, Wels."

She shook her head. "No, its not. Absolutely not."

"It is. I was too late-"

"JD, kung ano man ang nangyari noong nakaraan linggo ay walang nakakaalam na mangyayari ang lahat ng yun. Nangyari na yun, ang mahalaga ay tapos na at ligtas na ako, so don't blame yourself on this."

JD heavily sigh. "But still, it won't happen to you if I was on time."

"Alam mo, nakakainis ka na."

"Bakit?"

"Ang tigas ng ulo mo. Sinabi ng hindi mo kasalanan eh," napairap na sabi niya.

JD laugh lightly. He then sigh and look at her lovingly. Welcy smile at the thought that his eyes were always expressive as he is.

"Pwede bang itigil mo na lang yang pagrereklamo mo and do something else?"

He raise a brow in curiosity. "What?"

Welcy smile and took him by his collar. She then pull him closer to her. She felt him froze for a bit before he got the message.

And as their lips met, Welcy knew everything between them is just the beginning.

Hindi man niya alam kung ano ang mangyayari sa mga susunod na araw pero alam niyang makakaya niya iyong harapin dahil hindi siya nag-iisa.

She knew JD will be by her side, and will never leave her alone.

She is just thankful because she is blessed to have someone like him.
