It was a pleasant day and me and my sister Mabel had decided to go to the lake for the day, maybe we would find a mythical creature, you never know, so we went and set up a spot next to the shore. This is where the story begins.
"Hey Dipper, what that?" Mabel asked as he pointed to something in the water. I took my head from my book to check.
"That's just a rock Mabel." She could be so paranoid sometimes. Mabel rolled her eyes at him and pointed again.
"I mean behind the rock stupid." I looked up once again and found that her concerns were valid for behind the rock, was a brightly colored object floating in the water.
"I don't know, how about you go check it out. It could be mythical." I replied, turning my attention back to my book.
"What's up with you today? You'd typically be all for this kind of stuff." Mabel pouted, staring at me from over my book.
"I guess I'm just not in the mood." I shrugged and turned the page. Mabel stood up suddenly and stomped her foot.
"Fine then, I guess I'll just retrieve the mythical object without you." She said as she pulled off her sweater and waded into the water.
"Do you have any idea how much pollution is in that lake?" I shouted at Mabel as she swan, determinedly towards the object. I shook my head and returned to my book.
I jumped as a scream pierced the air, coming from where my sister had disappeared under the water.
"Mabel!" I yelled as I jumped up, throwing down my book and vest before jumping into the water, using my Fourth grade swimming lesson memories. Right, left, right, left. Mabel. As I approached the spot, I noticed that the floating object was gone. The problem was, so was my sister. I tread water for a moment, before submerging completely. When I opened my eyes underwater it was like a whole new world. The water was pitch black but I could make out a small light from deep under, getting smaller and smaller. I went up for air and quickly returned under, the light now barely a speck in the distance. I quickly gave up all concerns for my life and swam down, moving faster than I thought I ever could. As I went on, my body urged me to get air but I continued, getting more light headed ever minute. I held on for one more minute before losing consciousness completely. All I remember then was a voice, small and sweet, growing louder and louder.
"My heart is pierced by Cupid, I disdain all glittering gold, there is nothing can console me, but my jolly sailer bold."
"My father is a merchant, the truth I now shall tell, and in great London city, in opulence do dwell."
A siren. My sister was with a siren.
