Foreword

With our eyes still blinded with a piece of cloth and ears blocked with earplugs, we finally landed on the ground. The military airplane shook a little as the motors died out slowly and I let out the breath I didn't even knew I was holding. I hated flying, but with my work I had to endure it.
Someone touched my face and removed the blindfold. My eyes met with General Hwang and I pulled the plugs out of my ears by myself.

,, We are here, Dr. Do. You should wake up your men. You have 30 seconds to leave the plane."

He said coldly, but I knew he was just carrying out his duties.
I stood up quickly and freed Baekhyun and Junmyeon first, telling them to free the others and follow me. I opened the heavy door of the airplane and pushed all of our bags outside. Everyone of us could have only one bag of personal belongings, so it was a quick job. The airscrew started to turn again and we jumped out of the airplane just in time.

,, Stay low!"

I shouted at my crew and hunched forward, grabbing two of the bags and moved quickly out of the runway.
It was dark outside, only the lights of the small platform were shining through the darkness as we watched our airplane rose into the air again and disappear. We kept looking into the dark in silence, feeling a little bit sad and scared of what is gonna come and cross our way in a next few months. I looked at my crew and we exchanged small smiles, barely seeing them in a dim light. We grabbed our bags wanting to move to our final destination, but all of us froze on the spot....

As a loud, but distant howl cut through the air.

Golden eyes.

I gasped, feeling a slight layer of sweat covering my body. I sat up quickly, caressing my tired eyes and forehead, my sleep completely gone. I sighed and looked around the dark room. Or more like a few khaki canvases put together, but still it wasn't the worst my team and I'd experienced. At least all of us have a small bed and one metallic cabinet for our personal things and clothes. I couldn't see much in the dark, but I heard Baekhyun's soft snoring next to me and it calmed me down a little bit.

I tried to remember my dream, but the only thing I could grasp onto in my newly awakened mind were these golden eyes, staring at me from the darkness. I shivered and decided to go outside. I've never slept much on the missions, but this surely wasn't the best sleep I've ever had.

At the time when we landed in this, for us, unknown country, I already had a feeling that this won't be an usual mission. The Headquarters gave me even less info than usually and all these secrets around it were making me anxious and worried for my team. Yes, we were used to not knowing where we are going, what is gonna happen to us there and for how long we are gonna be there, we knew that our job will be always the same - taking care of injured people, badly injured ones and especially soldiers. But this mission was different. I could tell from the incomplete actions and orders of my superiors. Even their voices were betraying them, when they gave me the files with a command to grab my team and go.

What's more, before we went to sleep after our long flight, I looked with Jongdae through the files of our medical supplies and found out that one of the bigger boxes was in a completely different kind of packaging than the normal ones. Usually for a quick function and treatment everything was packed in a bottle or a bag already measured out for one injured or sick person, but this box was different. I asked Jongdae that he, as a main pharmacist of the team, should look through it more. After several minutes he came to me saying that these portions were made for 10 people in one. Liquids, tablets, IVs, everything. There were also totally different kinds of needles, injections, scalpels and other things for us to operate with. Honestly the whole situation made me thing that we are gonna treat injured animals or something, so I immediately went to our satellite phone and tried to call our headquarters, but no one answered. So with a heavy heart and mind I went to sleep, only to be awake again after 3 hours of restless sleep.
