Punks and Penny Boards

Chapter 2

I threw on a simple black muscle tee and wore the same shorts from earlier. I put my galaxy vans on and went downstairs. Zelda was sat at a chair by the table.

"Luke's gonna be at the party". She said smirking

"Oh shutup were just friends nothing more"! I said.

Zelda laughed. She wore a black dress with black pumps. There was a knock at the door so I got up to answer it. There stood Maxwell and Jai. "Could we come in"? Jai asked. "Uh of course"! I said. When they walked in Maxwell's eyes quickly shifted to Zelda.

"Someone's looking hot"! Maxwell winked at her.

"For god sakes stop being such a flirt Max". She snapped

Max has liked Zelda for as long as I could remeber, But then again he flirts with lots of girls so who knows. I think he does it to piss her off.

"Well you guys coming"? Jai asked fixing his hair.

"Yeah". Zelda said pushing in her chair.

We Drove over too Tom's house which he shared with his brother James. It was a big house a little further from the ocean than ours. I walked in and searched for Luke. "Why am I doing this"? I thought. I went to the door which lead to the backyard. There was a pool and a small skateramp.

"Hey Rachel". Luke said. I turned around to see a shirtless Luke.

"Roni". I corrected him.

"I knew that". He laughed.

Zelda and the boys walked by me laughing like crazy.

"Coming in Roni"? Zelda said laughing.

I took off my shorts and tank which I wore my black bikini underneath.

"C'mon"! I said to Luke. As I was about to get in the pool Tom picked me up and threw me into the pool.

"ASSHOLE"! I shouted.

I looked around to see where everyone was. I saw some teenagers from my school making out in the corner. Didn't wanna see that. Then I seen everyone in the corner including Luke.

"Heyy Roni"! Maxwell bumped into me pushing me closer to Luke.

"Sooooo Luke what do you think of Roni"? Zelda asked holding in her laughter.

"Ahh she's cool". He said blushing.

"Mmmk anything else you wanna say"? Tom asked but he couldn't hold it in any longer.

They all broke out in laughter. Luke stood there holding his beer. He looked confused. My friends are so embarrassing sometimes I swear I want to slap them all right now.

"Well then were gonna leave you two alone together so bye". They're so immature.

"What was that all about"? Luke asked.

"I have no clue". I lied. I did know.

Luke wiped some mascara from under my eye. I swear to god sometimes my friends are like children.

"Um thank you". I smiled.

"No problem". Luke said.

Me and Luke got out of the pool. I grabbed a towel and dried myself off. We walked inside and went upstairs where it was quiet. I didn't like alot of noise.

"So tell me something about you". I said to Luke.

"Well I'm Luke uh... I'm 17 years old and I'm Australian. I'm in a band with four members. I play the guitar and sing. What about you"?

Wow Luke sounds so interesting. He'd never like someone as boring as me. All I do is skate.

"Uh... I'm Roni Parker. I'm 16 and I like skateboarding. I enjoy the beach and music". I stopped. "I'm boring I'm sorry". I said.

"No your not". He said.

"Really"? I asked

"Yeah your... Actually my dream girl". Luke climbed over me.

"What are you doing Luke". I tensed up and my cheeks felt hot.

"I don't know". He climbed off me.

Why did he have to do that. It just made everything all awkward. I looked at Luke who was blushing like crazy. I wanted him to kiss me but I didn't.

"Wanna go to the skatepark this party is lame. I don't even like party's"! I said.

"Yeah let's go! I'm bored". I grabbed my penny board out of the back of jai and Maxwells jeep.

Me and Luke skated off together. The sun was setting. The sky was fiery orange. It was beautiful. There was nobody at the park. I sat down on my board. And Luke sat next to me on his. You could kinda see the ocean from here.

"I find you really attractive you know" Luke said blushing.

"I'm hard to get Luke. It's not that easy to win me". I said playfully. "Besides you barely know me and were just two crazy kids who will end up heartbroken".

Luke stopped smiling.

"It's not easy huh"? He said. "We'll see about that". Luke looked down at his hands which were callused and blister from playing guitar.

"You play alot don't you"? I asked.

Luke nodded. He was shy yet not. Sometimes he was quiet sometimes he wasn't.

Luke brushed the hair off of my face. He leaned in to kiss me. His lips just brushed against mine but the I pushed him off.

"Nope. Not happening". I said.

Luke looked sad again.

"I know you want to kiss me". He said.

"And how do you know that". I said.

"I just do. It's obvious you like me Roni and we all know it".

I heard my phone make a sound so I pulled it out of my pocket. It was Zelda so I answered it.

"Where the hell are you"! She yelled. All I could hear was loud music.

"Somewhere". I said calmly.

"WHERE"?

"NEVERLAND"! I giggled. Luke smiled.

"Roni seriously tell me where you are".

"With Peter Pan". I smirked and Luke blushed a little.

"Your with Luke aren't you... At the skatepark I'm guessing"? She asked.

"Maybe". I laughed.

"Well make sure he walks you home cause its not safe to walk alone at night and don't be home to late. Oh one more thing no sex". She said laughing.

Idiot.

"Ew no"! I said. "Ok well bye then". I hung up.

Me and Luke walked up to the mine and Zelda's condo. We didn't skate cause my legs were so sore and he broke his board.

"Well then... Uh goodnight". Luke said awkwardly.

I think he wanted me to kiss him and it felt like the right moment to do it, but remeber Roni, your hard to get. You even said it.

"Ok see you tommorow or the next day or..."

Luke leaned quickly in and pressed his lips against mine. What the hell am I doing... WHAT THE HELL IS LUKE DOING. Ah whatever I like it so calm down Roni.

Luke pulled away ending the kiss. We both started to laugh and then the rain started to fall. What a coincidence.

"Come inside"! I said to Luke as it started to pour rain.

"It's ok I'll just run home it's not far"! He yelled.

"You sure"? I asked.

"Yeah". Luke held his board over his head like an umbrella.
