Tick... tock... tick... tock...
The seconds seemed to drag on forever in the dimly lit office where doctor Mallory sat, waiting for the next appointment to get there. Doctor Mallory was fairly young for his fame, only 37 and already he was known all over the world for his hypnotism. He was fairly handsome as well, he was tall and had a neatly shaven head. His eyes were brown with almost a soft glow emitting from them, he also had glasses that perfectly matched the watch on his right hand.
Her name is Samantha Doom, the next appointment that is. She was referred to doctor Mallory by a fellow doctor, and that fellow doctor was referred to her by another fellow doctor, and so on and so forth.
Doctor Mallory looked back at the folder on his neat desk. She seemed interesting from what he had read, she claimed she saw ghosts. Most of the psychologists she has seen have claimed she described their dead loved ones perfectly, and so they came to the conclusion that she had somehow got a hold of that personal knowledge.
Samantha also was very stubborn, she had refused all treatment because she claimed that there was nothing wrong with her. She just needed someone to clear her of being insane, and say she wasn't crazy so she could get custody of her young son, who had been forced to live in a foster home because Samantha was 'unfit' to be a parent. According to the file Doctor Mallory had read, Samantha had threatened to stab another person in the building they were living because the person didn't hold the elevator for her.
"Interesting indeed..." doctor Mallory said aloud in a deep voice, almost unfitting for his soft brown eyes and gentle expression. From what doctor Mallory had read the woman had no prior accusation of any kind. So it didn't quite make sense for Samantha to get her son taken away.
The floor of the old building creaked in effort, and the sound of voices could barely be heard from where the doctor sat.
Samantha was here.
The clacking of heels were the only thing that could be heard as Mallory's secretary approached the entrance to his office. She was in her late fifties and her hair was starting to turn white, but when you looked at her, you could tell how beautiful she must have been whilst she was young.
The door creaked with an echoing screech, the old building might be beautiful, but it needed a few upgrades.
"Samantha is here for her appointment," the old woman said in a clear, soothing voice.
"I'll come out to meet her," doctor Mallory replied. He stepped out of his office and in front of the grandfather clock, stood Samantha. Even looking at her from behind, you could tell she was fairly attractive.
Doctor Mallory walked up behind her, "Hello Ms. Doom".
"Listen to the clock... doesn't it sound weird?" Samantha said without looking behind her.
"It might be a mechanical problem, I'll have someon-", Samantha cut the doctor off.
"I know what the problem is," she opened up the glass covering the face of the clock. "It's a few minutes slow." She reached her hand over and pushed the minute hand of the clock over, so it struck twelve. The clock started to ding, it dinged quietly and seemed to radiate inside of the doctors head.
Samantha turned around revealing, not surprisingly, a beautiful woman in her mid-thirties. "Hello, it's nice to finally meet you for the first time."
"And to you as well", responded doctor Mallory with a guarded expression. "Let's step into my office, shall we?"
"Alright, lead away", Samantha said in a teasing manner.
They stepped into the old office and took a seat across from each other. A big thump could be heard from where they were sitting.
