Today was pretty windy, a perfect fall breeze. Leaves were falling, and they crunched under the walking brown boots of a girl. She skipped merrily down the street, making her way towards Aoba Johsai. She happily went along her way, until it started to rain.
"Oh no!" She ran for cover under some cafe's cover.
"Hey, that uniform. Do you go to Aoba Johsai?" A tall boy interrogated.
"Yes!" She nodded.
"Me too, how about we walk together?" He said moving to make room under the large umbrella.
"Oh, thank you." She muttered stepping under.
She tried to keep up with his long, steady strides, but her lungs couldn't take much more of this.
"Please, slow down?" She tried to get him to stop.
"Tired already? We haven't even gotten down the block?" He asked, then pointing to Aoba Johsai which was just ahead.
"Ah, um... okay." She continued going.
Just as her lungs began to cry out desperately for air, they reached Aoba Johsai. Her breathing was course. He couldn't understand, they had only been walking?
"Hey are you alright, you look kind of tired?" She shied away, and tried to stop breathing so roughly.
"I-I'm fine! Haha..."
"Alright, we'll see you around!" He replied, releasing the subject. He made his way to class, and thought about it. He hadn't seen her around school, actually he had never seen her at all. Doubting she knew who he was, he sighed continuing on his way to class.
"I wonder who he is?" She asked herself over and over again.
Well she knew he was a good person. A kind soul.
She slowly paced towards class. Keeping a somewhat good steady pace. The bell rang just as she got in, and took the empty seat. Which was far from the window.
'Just my luck.' She sighed.
"Oh, hello again!" The boy from earlier greeted.
"Hello..."
"Nice to see you again..."
"[L/n] [F/n]." She brightly smiled.
"Did you just transfer here?" He asked curiously.
"Nope, I've been here since my first year!" She beamed.
Oikawa Tooru. He was shockingly different than she imagined. Taller, and a lot friendlier. He was a very calm and collected person, with a dazzling voice. What did she do to deserve talking to him?
"R-really? I haven't seen you around." He muttered
"That's weird, we've had the same class for three years now!" She giggled.
His eyes widened and he was trying to figure out what to say, since he didn't want to hurt her feelings. She blended into the crowd pretty well, actually. Not very distracting. A bland personality that he couldn't recognize.
"It's fine, you seemed pretty occupied all the time anyways, haha." She announced to him.
She moved back to her seat, which was far from him.
"Oh, I have a chair empty right here, [L/n]-chan." Oikawa stated.
"[L-L/n]-chan?" She blushed slightly.
"Yep! Come on over."
"I'm sorry but I'm not very interesting. I don't talk a lot either." She apologized.
