"Do you remember our first night in New York, Waldorf Astoria?" Elliott questions me.
I nod, remembering our stay at WA, and the day I met Noah, strumming on his guitar. I remember when, sadly, Elliott left, and we went to stay at Noah's house. I remember the tent he made for me..
I close my eyes dreamily, smiling at all the amazing memories. It all happened four years ago, but it feels like yesterday. And the tour, of course, along with our first argument... I open my eyes. That isn't a memory to go back to.
I look at my bedroom which i lived in for as long as I remember. The pictures are stuck on the walls, some put on display, hanging on the ceiling. I sigh sadly at the thought of leaving. I look over at Elliott, and it's obvious he's thinking the same. "I hate feeling like I'm seeing my bedroom for the last time," I say after a little while, "It's where I kept all my memories. It feels as if I'm leaving them behind..." "Like your old camera?" Elliott says, raising an eyebrow. I actually start to feel like I'm about to cry as i think of it. Forgotten.
I have a new camera - one of the latest models. My mum gave it to me on my 18th birthday. "You'll be needing a new one at uni, " she had said as i objected bitterly, "You had the old thing for a while now, Pen. What if it gets broken?"
So i had to throw away my old one - but i didn't have the heart to. I secretly put it in a box in the attic.
"Elliott, can I ask you a question?" I ask seriously, putting my hand on his, changing the subject before I go all blubbery. Elliott looks at me puzzled. ".. P, is everything ok?" "Yes," I say, and I can't help but grin like an idiot, "I was just wondering if you wanted to grab some burgers from GBK?" Elliott shakes his head, laughing. The atmosphere uneases.
Uni, here we go...
