“Sometimes problems don’t require a solution to solve them; instead they require maturity to outgrow them.”
- Steve Maraboli
And Daniel Marsh happened to be the problem. Eleanor Hunter was simply determined to push that boy out of her head. The fact that he was sitting behind her in Math wasn't exactly helping. Eleanor was tired of being little. She was ready to grow up, go to college, get a job, meet a boy and grow old with him. That was all she wanted in life and she didn't need any frivolous figments of her past to slow her down.
"Behind every heart, there is a best friend guarding it in case it breaks."
- Unknown
For Daniel Marsh, his was lost. All that was left was a shattered case, a stolen heart, and memories that he would keep for the rest of his life. It's not like he wasn't still around Eleanor Hunter, his childhood best friend, it was just that they were no longer best friends. They weren't even friends. She had changed. He had changed. And their bond was broken. He wanted it back, but he was too stubborn to admit it.
